We’ve grown quickly. In less than a year since leaving public beta, 100+ enterprise teams—including HubSpot, ServiceNow, and Instacart—use Capsule to create high-quality, on-brand video content at scale.

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to join our team and help develop the next generation of our video editing tool. In this role, you will work closely with our founders and product and engineering teams to design, implement, and deploy ML models that power new and improved features for our product.

Responsibilities
  • Research and evaluate new ML techniques and technologies that can be applied to our product

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize ML feature development opportunities

  • Develop and implement ML models and algorithms to power these features

  • Optimize model performance and accuracy through testing and iterative development

  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in ML engineering

  • Work fast and enjoy the rapid pace of an early stage startup

  • Have fun working with other highly-skilled team players in a zero-ego work environment

  • Bring new ideas to the table that expand the capabilities of the product and delight customers

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an AI/ML engineer in a commercial software development setting

  • Computer Science or related degree

  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch)

  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection and optimization

  • Experience building and deploying ML models in production environments

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Highly-motivated, entrepreneurial-minded, high EQ

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Interest in video technology in general

  • Experience with CI/CD a plus
