Ready to accelerate your career?

Clara is the fastest-growing company in Latin America. We've built the leading solution for companies to make and manage all their payments. We already help over 20,000 large and growing businesses operate with agility and financial clarity through locally issued corporate cards, bill pay, financing, and a powerful B2B platform built for scale.

Clara is backed by some of the most successful investors in the world, including top regional VCs like monashees, Kaszek, and Canary, and leading global funds like Notable Capital, Coatue, DST Global Partners, ICONIQ Growth, General Catalyst, Citi Ventures, SV Angel, Citius, Endeavor Catalyst, and Goldman Sachs - in addition to dozens of angel investors and local family offices.
We’re building the financial infrastructure that powers high-performing organizations across the region. We invite you to join us if you want to be part of a fast-paced environment that will accelerate your career and support you to do some of the best work of your life alongside a passionate and committed team distributed across the Americas.

What you'll do

We're looking for an AI Business Operations Analyst to join Clara Ops and drive a new chapter of how we run the company. This is not a traditional ops role. You will be the person who spots where humans are doing work that machines could do better — and then builds the systems that make it happen. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, automation, and execution, working across teams to eliminate friction, accelerate decisions, and raise the operational ceiling of Clara.

You will report to the Global Head of Operations and partner closely with Product, Sales, Finance, and Engineering. You will own the full loop: identify the opportunity, design the solution, deploy it with AI and automation tooling, and measure the outcome.

  • Map high-friction operational workflows across Clara and prioritize them for AI-augmentation and automation — building a roadmap that compounds in impact over time.
  • Design, deploy, and iterate on AI-powered workflows using tools like Claude Code/Codex, n8n, and other LLM APIs to do things that weren’t possible before and replace manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational leaders to identify where agent-based or rule-based automation can improve speed, accuracy, or capacity — without adding headcount.
  • Build and maintain operational dashboards in Metabase to surface the KPIs that matter and flag anomalies before they become problems.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing on process changes tied to new feature launches, ensuring operational readiness before every release.
  • Serve as the internal expert on AI tooling for operations — evaluating new tools, sharing what works, and building the internal playbook on how Clara uses AI.
  • Identify data gaps and work with Engineering to create the instrumentation or pipelines needed to power better operational decisions.
  • Document processes clearly so that what you build can be maintained, improved, and handed off — not just understood by you.
  • You’re excited about leading a team of AIs - not becoming a people manager - and have an unlimited token budget.
Who you are

“We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.”

Must haves:

  • Experience working at top consulting firm (Bain/BCG/McKinsey) or similar professional services or/and high-velocity startup.
  • Proven AI automation track record. Demonstrated examples and experience automating and augmenting operations with AI. This is not aspirational — we want to see what you've already shipped.
  • 3–7 years of experience in operations, strategy, or a related field — ideally in a LatAm fintech, payments, or high-growth B2B SaaS company.
  • Hands-on experience building automated workflows with tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar — no-code and low-code fluency is a must.
  • Familiarity or proven ability to work with company systems of records such as CRMs (e.g. Hubspot, Attio, Salesforce), Support triage (e.g. Zendesk), data warehouses (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake), and BI tools
  • Comfortable working directly with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) to build operational tools and agents, even if you're not a software engineer.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable querying data in SQL or working with BI tools like Metabase to build the operational visibility Clara needs.
  • Structured thinker with a bias for action: you break down complex problems, make decisions with incomplete data, and move fast without breaking things.
  • Excellent communicator — you translate technical solutions into business terms for non-technical stakeholders, and business needs into precise specs for engineers.
  • Fluent in English

Nice to haves:

  • Basic proficiency in Portuguese or a desire to learn it.
  • Independent analytical skills using Metabase, SQL, or Python to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • A good sense of humor.

Clara’s Hybrid Policy

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.

We don't enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you're expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
