Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for using AI to drive business value?

We're building a world-class internal AI Value Creation team to help every department—from Marketing to Customer Success to Product and Engineering—unlock meaningful, measurable value with AI. As a Business Analyst on this team, you'll operate like an internal consultant, embedding yourself in business functions to identify and define the highest-value AI use cases. Your mission is to be on the front lines of a company-wide AI transformation, acting as a key partner who can translate strategic goals into tangible business impact.

On a typical day, you might:

  • Conduct interviews and discovery sessions with stakeholders across departments (Marketing, Product, Customer Support, etc.) to uncover pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for AI-driven improvements.
  • Analyze and document current workflows and operational processes to pinpoint areas where AI can automate, augment, or optimize business activities.
  • Stay up to date on emerging AI tools and trends, evaluating which solutions best align with the company's strategic objectives and SaaS model.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to evaluate the technical feasibility of use cases, and build business models that estimate ROI, cost savings, or efficiency gains.
  • Convert technical assessments into executive-friendly presentations and narratives that clearly explain AI’s potential impact in business terms, including metrics non-technical leaders understand.
  • Develop structured opportunity assessments and prioritization models that weigh business value, complexity, and organizational readiness to guide investment decisions.
  • Run ideation workshops and co-creation sessions with departments to shape AI initiatives, while partnering with Ops, Finance, and Analytics teams to validate assumptions and promote change adoption.
  • Monitor the progress of AI pilots and implementations, define success metrics, coordinate across teams to resolve blockers, and maintain a repository of validated use cases and business impact stories.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, internal consulting, or transformation roles—preferably in SaaS, tech, or data-driven organizations.
  • Proven experience driving strategic or technical initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; the ability to break down complex systems and find leverage points.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, especially their application in real-world business processes.
  • Experience building business cases, performing cost-benefit analyses, and modeling ROI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; you can translate between technical teams and business stakeholders with ease.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity through structure and insight.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
