We're looking for an Agriculture Operations Coordinator to join our team in Oakdale, California! The Oakdale Plant, home to Hunt's Tomatoes, encompasses over 800 employees and sits on over 22 acres of land. You will report to the Procurement Manager.
This is a non-exempt hourly full-time seasonal position. You will bid to another department at the end of the season. Our current opening is on 3rd Shift, but you will need to be available for all shifts. Tomatoes will arrive every 3 minutes, totaling approximately 160-220 loads per day.
You Will:
Track the arrival of Tomato Loads
Manage the Yard Inventory including organizing the loads to support the plant
Schedule the dispatch of Tomato Loads
Communicate with Shuttle Drivers on the which loads to transport
Organize all physical inventories in the GMAS Database
Talk with Growers through a smart phone to understand the daily pick rate.
Escalate any safety or quality issues to Management immediately
Arrange for the return or disposal of any rejected loads
Balance pick, arrived, and in transit loads every morning
You Have:
High School Diploma/GED or 3 months of similar experience
Proficiency in English - Verbally & Written
Availability to work 7 days a week during tomato season
3-6 months of coordinating experience
