Job Description
As a member of our Solution Consulting team, you will have a major impact on our future success by supporting Technology Workflow Solution Sales. You will guide revenue for one of our products with the support and partnership of Sales, Product Management, and the executive team. This is a hands-on technical consultant who can go wide and deep on solution delivery and solution positioning during sales cycles.
What you get to do in this role:
The Solution Consultant is a technical consultant with the advanced ability to develop, position and provide product-specific solutions during sales cycles while achieving quarterly and annual sales goals for an assigned territory.
  • Sales Support & Domain Expertise: Support product sales as a technical and domain expert within a client-facing sales team.
  • Sales Strategy Support: Actively support the presales lifecycle from qualification to close, including sizing, solution validation, and architecture workshops.
  • Customer Discovery & Demonstrations: Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and deliver product demonstrations aligned to customer needs.
  • Autonomous IT & Security PoCs: Design and deliver Agentic AI PoCs, including multi-agent collaboration, supported by customer discovery, architecture definition, and proof-of-value assessment.
  • Technical Q&A & Enablement: Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, channel partners, and ServiceNow colleagues.
  • Product Feedback & Innovation: Provide structured feedback to product management on enhancements that address customer needs and deliver additional value.
  • Best Practices & Asset Sharing: Share and learn best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to improve team quality and efficiency.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
  • Marketing & Field Engagements: Plan, lead, and support marketing events, including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience
  • Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform or technical expertise with cloud software solutions
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
  • Territory management skills, including pipeline building and working with Sales counterpart to guide execution excellence
  • Hands-on experience in IT planning, system development, and/or IT operations within enterprise IT organizations, and/or relevant experience gained through consulting roles.
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks and standards across business processes, development, operations, and security, and/or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMBOK, ISO, CISA, CISSP, COBIT).
  • Travel, as necessary
