The Design Practices Ecosystem PMO is transforming engineering knowledge so teams can find and apply trusted technical guidance more quickly. We are seeking an Advanced Technology Information & Knowledge Management Lead to own taxonomy and metadata strategy, guide our knowledge services, and scale knowledge capabilities across engineering documentation - partnering with analytics and automation teams to improve discovery and relevance.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Define and steward taxonomy and controlled-vocabulary strategy for engineering knowledge
  • Act as the business owner for knowledge products: set vision, priorities, governance, and success metrics
  • Drive application of taxonomy and metadata across engineering documentation and promote consistent, reusable patterns
  • Partner with analytics, automation, and platform teams to ensure knowledge capabilities support search, discovery, and personalization needs
  • Establish and manage governance, stewardship responsibilities, and quality standards for metadata and vocabularies
  • Contribute to solution design and architectural discussions to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable knowledge systems
  • Define KPIs and monitor adoption, quality, and business impact of knowledge solutions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a role that required building cross-functional consensus among internal and external stakeholders to drive business results
  • Proven experience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts
  • 9+ years of experience structuring of metadata schemas and controlled vocabularies, including taxonomies and ontologies
  • Experience developing, analyzing, and deploying Artificial Intelligence and related algorithms
  • Experience with SQL and Graph databases

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Master's degree or higher
  • 5 years of experience in Agile and Scale Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience in technical product management or product ownership, specifically in data science, AI, data products, or related technical domains
  • Experience integrating taxonomies with NLP/ML for personalization
  • Aerospace/defense experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $182,750 - $264,500
