You will report directly to our leadership team and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a hybrid work schedule, with the first 90 days on-site. 

In this role, you will impact the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing operations by developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies and collaborating across functions to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the implementation of new manufacturing techniques
  • Review conceptual and development designs for cost, quality, manufacturability, and yield
  • Manage Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) items
  • Manage Unit Product Cost (UPC) models to meet APQP goals
  • Provide Proposal artifacts such as timelines, planning, and budget management to the Integrated Product Teams
  • Understand, manage, and achieve hardware delivery program milestones
  • Achieve ISC Milestones, maintain metrics and provide status presentations
  • Ensure Design benefits from the APQP artifacts like Process Flow Maps, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAP artifacts
  • Ensure Product benefits from Design for Manufacturability, and track production readiness levels
  • Facilitate Production Readiness Reviews and develop these artifacts to support these reviews.
  • Interface with Engineering and Sourcing to identify Suppliers meeting capacity, cost, and capability goals
  • Identify and manage new product assembly, test, or tooling Capital needs
  • Manage Cost Take Out (CTO) efforts and risk mitigation plans
  • Predict and Manage Product Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY) Efforts
  • Interface with Production Cell(s) to ensure smooth Production Transitions
  • Drive product development adherence for all ISC related items throughout the development cycle.
Qualifications

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $110,400.00 - $138,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • BA/BAS degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Experience driving process improvements and operational excellence in manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to read engineering mechanical drawings and assess for Manufacturing capability

WE VALUE

  • 9+ years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of Engineering, Program Management or Integrated Supply Chain experience
  • Core knowledge of manufacturing technologies, welding, brazing, machining, additive manufacturing
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Product knowledge in valves, pumps, actuators, heat exchangers, and environmental control systems
  • Knowledge of casting, machining, assembly processes
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word, and MS Project
  • Position requires manufacturing and supplier factory floor exposure requiring safety shoes and glasses
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing techniques and their impact on costs
  • Proficiency in project management skills with the ability to close initiatives on time and within budget
  • Green Belt, DFSS, Black Belt, Lean, or HOS certification. Demonstrated ability in using six sigma tools
  • Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/MSA and other APQP elements
  • Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter, and other data system applications
