**Fully remote hourly contract role with an expected duration of 6–12 weeks, depending on availability**

We are seeking an experienced ADP HRIS contractor to support our ADP implementation and system administration. This role requires someone with recent, hands-on ADP experience who can contribute immediately, without the need for refresher training. The contractor will assist with data imports, system configuration, custom reporting, module support, and training practitioners to ensure knowledge transfer before the engagement concludes.

HOW WE’LL BE WINNING TOGETHER DAY TO DAY

  • Conduct mass imports, including auditing the system and advising on necessary imports (e.g., effective dates, status reasons, historical data such as promotions, job changes, salary adjustments, and manager changes).
  • Configure workflows, including but not limited to payroll, benefits, HR and employment data workflows that require targeted notifications across different countries or practitioner groups.
  • Build and maintain custom reports, incorporating custom fields into standard reports, developing global census, job change, and custom field change reports, and organizing folders to prevent duplication across Practitioners.
  • Configure and support ADP modules, including but not limited to Compensation, Performance, and Voice of the Employee.
  • Troubleshoot and advise on the best global approach for capturing and maintaining employee profile data when standard ADP configuration does not appear to support required data elements (i.e. demographic data, hierarchy reports, etc.)
  • Navigate and administer ADP environments independently, providing recommendations and solutions as needed.
  • Train and coach practitioners on ADP processes, workflows, and reporting to ensure they can independently manage these areas after the contractor’s engagement ends.

WE SHOULD TALK IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU

  • Proven, hands-on experience with ADP (recent experience required).
  • Global ADP experience supporting countries outside the U.S. and Canada (required).
  • Strong knowledge of mass imports and data management.
  • Experience configuring workflows and custom notifications.
  • Skilled in building custom reports and analytics.
  • Comfortable administering and navigating ADP modules independently.
  • Ability to start contributing immediately, with minimal onboarding.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively train and transfer knowledge to internal practitioners.

**Budgeted hourly rate is $60 - $120, based on experience**

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
