Job Description

Starz Entertainment is seeking a proactive and highly organized Administrative Coordinator to join our Corporate Communications team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership—providing high-level executive support to the Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications—while also serving as the department’s central operations coordinator.
You will act as a trusted partner and organizational hub, ensuring the team runs efficiently by managing workflows, communications logistics, and internal coordination. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication instincts, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support (Primary):

  • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings across multiple time zones, and coordinate executive briefings.
  • Organize domestic and international travel, itineraries, and conference/event logistics for EVP.
  • Draft and proofread executive communications, presentations, and internal materials.
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports, coordinate speaking engagements, and maintain contact databases on behalf of the executive.

Departmental Coordination & Operations:

  • Act as the communications team’s operational lead—tracking project timelines, maintaining team calendars, and supporting alignment across internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate logistics for departmental meetings, PR events, company-wide announcements, and media opportunities.
  • Liaise with Legal, Finance, IT, and Facilities to manage contracts, vendor payments, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and recurring departmental reporting needs.
  • Assist with onboarding of new team members, managing workspace readiness, tool access, and team integration.

Communications & Project Support:

  • Support media monitoring, track press coverage, and help maintain internal archives of press materials.
  • Help coordinate internal communications rollouts and maintain content calendars for announcements and employee-facing initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects including internal events, DEI campaigns, award submissions, and brand storytelling moments.
  • Assist in managing both internal and external websites / platforms on an ongoing basis with latest company information.
  • Support in newsletter development and creation for internal communications, government relations and beyond.
  • Support in creation and editing of interview or event briefing documents.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in administrative coordination, department operations, or executive support; entertainment, media, or communications experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including familiarity with formatting decks, memos, and high-visibility internal content.
  • Tech-savvy and resourceful; proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and tools like Concur, DocuSign, Slack, and Airtable.
  • Comfortable working with senior executives and across confidential or sensitive communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or coordinating within PR, communications, or marketing departments.
  • A creative eye for brand storytelling or employee engagement is a plus.

Compensation:

 $60,000-$65,000

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
