The Opportunity

Music Creative & Production (MCP) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic Music Creative team focused on our Series content. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who is able to exercise good judgment and significant initiative.

Music Creative & Production (MCP) provides world class music support to our original series and Netflix cross-functional partners by guiding the music creative, scoring, and budgeting process from development to launch. Our goal is to empower Netflix to entertain the world by deepening fan engagement and amplify storytelling through music.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, calls, and travel for two executives

  • Prepare and present decks for internal and cross-functional presentations

  • Organize, plan and execute internal and external-facing events (gatherings, team outings, offsites, mixers, etc.)

  • Prepare executives in advance with details of meeting participants and topics

  • Track and organize composer and songwriter reels in one central location for future use and organize team’s Airtable and rolodex of talent

  • Submit executives’ expense reports

  • Manage database of team meetings (e.g.: who we met, what we discussed, and integrate it into our rolodex of contacts for future music team hire pitches)

  • Field requests for and organize team meetings with external talent

  • Take meeting notes for team discussions, cross-functional team syncs, and external meetings

  • Organize and maintain the team’s Google Drive and title-specific folders

  • Create and manage docs, memos, decks, and agendas for the Original Series team

  • Help manage team Airtable that denotes slate, project notes, stages of production, and music details pertaining to each project 

  • Track budgetary approval process for the titles for team’s slate

  • Run weekly and daily Original Series team meetings (moderation and agenda curation) as needed

  • Liaise with cross-functional departments as needed - Music BALA, Marketing, Physical Production, Post, etc.

  • Stay up to date on emerging talent, shows, and trends in the music industry (as it relates to the team)

Qualifications:

  • 3-4+ years as an executive or administrative assistant in the music industry

  • Ability to handle active desks supporting numerous simultaneous productions and prioritize and respond accordingly

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and utmost discretion while being privy to sensitive information

  • Team-player who operates in a fast paced team-oriented setting

  • Ability to multitask a high volume of tasks

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Airtable is important 

  • Ability to learn and understand new tools and workflows efficiently

  • Must have a strong passion for music and interest in the music business

  • Interest and ability to operate within Netflix culture and champion the culture for the team

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000 - $240,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
