The Lucky Foundation is seeking a human resource expert to join our Advisory Board of Directors as the Human Resources Manager.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager oversees personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Their duties include hiring HR personnel, managing the hiring and onboarding procedures for other company employees, and coordinating with members of their department to provide support to company employees regarding personal and professional incidents.
Responsibilities
- Develops and administers human resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel.
- Contributes to developing Human Resources department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Implement and revise a company’s compensation program.
- Creates and revises job descriptions and ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
- Conducts annual salary surveys.
- Develop, analyze, and update the company’s salary budget.
- Develop, analyze, and update the company’s evaluation program.
- Develop, maintain and revise company policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Performs benefits administration.
- Completes hiring and onboarding for all employees (onboarding checklist, I9’s, E-Verify, background checks, orientation, etc.).
- Conducts exit interviews, creates metrics on data, and provides feedback to the HR team.
- Maintains personnel records and reports.
- Participates in administrative team meetings.
- Maintains company directory and other organizational charts partnering with the Chief of Administration.
- Recommends new policies, approaches, and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Provides counsel on employee relations strategy, including investigation of issues, government programs, and compliance with legal requirements partnering with the Legal Counsel.
- Provides sound employee relations advice.
- Partners with operational teammates and senior leadership on key issues, regional support, and business strategy.
- All other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience
- Earned a BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university (Required);
MBA or MA/MS in human resources or a related field is preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience (Required)
- Multi-state employment law experience is preferred.
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred but not required.
- Non-Profit experience is preferred but not required.
