Why This Role Is Important To Arcadia
This role is the senior-most actuarial leader for one of Arcadia’s largest and most strategically important client engagements. You will be the primary driver of actuarial strategy, bringing deep expertise to guide high-stakes decisions for our partners. Your leadership will shape how Arcadia’s analytics platform is leveraged to optimize value-based care performance, ensuring measurable impact on both clinical outcomes and financial success.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Engage directly with key stakeholders, to better understand actuarial and financial needs from our product offering
- Develop an expert understanding of our Value Based Care Product, Contract IQ
- Learn the Analytics team’s reporting tools and DataMart (SQL database, Redshift, Quick Sight BI product)
In 6 months
- Gain familiarity with Arcadia’s data model, data ingestion process, and GA offerings
- Build out Value Based platform specifications for payer customers
In 12 months
- Have established yourself as the trusted actuarial partner to executive stakeholders at the client and within Arcadia
- Be accountable for delivering on all actuarial SLAs, driving measurable improvements in contract performance, and proactively identifying growth opportunities for the engagement
- Influence Arcadia’s product roadmap to align with evolving client needs and market trends
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the actuarial strategy for a flagship enterprise client, serving as the primary decision-maker for actuarial methodologies, models, and deliverables
- Act as the executive point of contact for client actuarial leadership, fostering trusted relationships that drive collaboration and growth
- Oversee product reconciliations, forecasting, and underwriting with a focus on innovation, accuracy, and actionable insights
- Partner with product, data, and engineering leadership to influence and enhance Arcadia’s actuarial analytics capabilities
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in related Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of actuarial healthcare experience, with a focus on value-based contracting and analytics (preferably payer contracting experience)
- ASA or FSA designation
- Strong accountability, intellectual curiosity, and customer satisfaction mindset
- Experience underwriting and evaluating key financial parameters within value-based contracts for health plan or provider system
- Experience with database querying (SAS, SQL, Python), Amazon Quick Site or BI Tool equivalent
