POSITION PURPOSE
The Accounts Receivable Specialist oversees receivables, ensuring accurate and timely recording, reconciliation and reporting of accounts receivable transactions. The position evaluates receivable practices and processes to improve efficiency and customer experience. In addition, the position is primary accounting contact support to stakeholders concerning accounts receivable.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process daily transfer, posting and matching of member invoices and payment data in Salesforce and Certinia (formerly Financial Force).
Research and apply daily unidentified payments (wires, ACH, checks, etc.) deposited to bank accounts to correct member event orders in Cvent or membership accounts in Salesforce.
Complete all functions of accounts receivable for Lifetime Dues payments including correspondence to members with delinquent installment payments and conversions to/from annual dues memberships when approved.
Monitor and respond in a timely manner to Associate requests and inquiries submitted through A/R support Service Console in Salesforce and email.
Approve all member refunds in Concur Invoice (A/P system).
Complete month end A/R processes including reconciliation of A/R aging report to general ledger and generating management reports.
Lead collection process and resolution for past due accounts per A/R aging report.
Resolve member credit card disputes as needed.
Work with GL and A/P team as needed on bank account reconciliations and vendor refunds deposited.
Create and account for miscellaneous invoices as needed.
Lead annual membership renewal process including testing of member invoicing and product set up in Salesforce.
Determine and enter journal entries as needed.
Assist in developing and implementing improvements to accounts receivable process and documentation.
Assist with annual audit requests related to accounts receivable.
Responsible for collaboration with IT when troubleshooting issues within Salesforce as it pertains to financial data.
Partner with Finance leadership on additional duties and projects as assigned.
Responsible for adherence to YPO Policy & Procedures.

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
5+ years of progressive accounts receivable experience.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel).
Accounting system software experience required. Experience with FincialForce is preferred.
Salesforce experience preferred.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION
Associate’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones.
Ability to work for extended hours at a computer screen.
Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions, approximately 5% per year.
