PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist will manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including ad hoc billing and credit memos, high-level collections, and cash applications. They are responsible for analyzing AR aging’s, resolving disputes, and supporting month-end close.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Monitors all major bank accounts for funds received. Posts all accounts receivable payments to ERP.
  • Processes credit card payments and submits batches to processors.
  • Resolves credit balances and customer account payment issues. Investigates and resolves billing discrepancies, short payments, and customer disputes.
  • Completes New Customer Set ups and establishes and maintains credit limits and credit terms on new and existing customers.
  • Evaluates orders placed on credit hold, analyzes overdue accounts, and aggressively pursues collection of cash.
  • Works with customers to create efficiency and automation in the payment process (e.g., ACH, B2B Portal, etc.).
  • Supports Assistant Controller as needed
  • Works with other departments to resolve issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
  • Working knowledge of accounts receivable practices and principles
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision Software beneficial
  • Very strong math skills
  • Strong computer and data entry skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel)
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
