At E Source, we help utilities make sense of complexity in a rapidly changing landscape, and we’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our growing Accounting Team.

E Source is a research, data/analytics, and technology-focused professional services firm focused exclusively on the utility industry in North America. We help utilities target and serve their customers more effectively, enhance and optimize their grid, and leverage operating best practices and technologies to manage their business more effectively. Headquartered in Texas, we have 450+ employees across the US and Canada. Learn more at www.esource.com.

As an Accounts Receivable Analyst, you’ll play a key role on the Accounting Team, with a strong focus on the Accounts Receivable function while also assisting with administrative, accounting, and ad hoc tasks. You’ll work closely with the Accounting Team and support cross-departmental efforts. E Source is a high-growth, private equity-backed company in the energy and utility sector with strong organic momentum and an aggressive acquisition strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, is eager to learn, and enjoys taking ownership of critical accounting processes as the company continues to grow and scale.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare customer invoices in accordance with customer contracts

  • Apply customer payments (ACHs, checks, wires, lockbox, etc.)

  • Assist with collection efforts using our automated dunning letter module within our ERP system and by collaborating with internal client service teams

  • Help set up billing rules and create projects in NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro

  • Support audit requests and other external data requests as necessary

  • Communicate with project managers across several departments to ensure accurate invoicing and accounting for customer activity

  • Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues

  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable, including account reconciliations, posting general ledger entries, and more

  • Identify areas for process improvements

You’re likely a great fit if you:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and enjoy taking ownership of your work

  • Bring strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy while also moving with speed

  • Are committed to learning and willing to be flexible as the company continues to grow and change

  • Can manage competing priorities while staying organized and meeting tight deadlines

  • Have a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork, with great communication skills and an attitude of helping others

And even better if you:

  • Have experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, QuickBooks, SuiteProjects Pro, or other similar ERP systems

Experience and Skills to Qualify Include:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 1–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

At E Source, you’ll work alongside people who are thoughtful, curious, and deeply knowledgeable about utility and energy systems. We value clarity over jargon, substance over flash, and collaboration over ego. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills, contribute to meaningful work, and help shape a company that plays a real role in how the energy future unfolds.

What you can expect

  • Excellent insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision plans; company-paid life insurance; company-paid long- and short-term disability insurance; medical and dependent-care flexible spending plans, and paid parental leave.

  • A flexible time off (FTO) policy that provides paid time away from work, approved by your manager, while ensuring business needs, workload commitments, and appropriate coverage are maintained.

  • A 401(k) plan with a 3% employer match.

The budgeted salary for this position is $45,000 – $50,000 USD + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We’re unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.

Employees of E Source are encouraged to apply. To foster a positive work environment and company culture, we support our employees in their career growth at E Source. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
