About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Specialist to lead and optimize financial operations for our growing U.S. personnel base. This role is highly operational and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on:

  • U.S. financial compliance and tax reporting.
  • Full-cycle bookkeeping and workbook management for tax advisors.
  • Complex payroll and benefits administration via ADP.
  • Direct coordination with HR operations and external tax authorities.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level accounting professional comfortable working in a fast-paced, global organization and partnering closely with HR, Legal, and external tax consultants.

About the Project:

Proxet is a global software development company with distributed teams across the U.S., Eastern Europe, and Latin America. As the company continues to scale, this role will be critical in strengthening our financial infrastructure, ensuring tax compliance across multiple states, and providing senior-level oversight of our U.S. fiscal responsibilities.

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Remote – W2 Contract)

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Certified status preferred).
  • 5+ years of senior-level bookkeeping and accounting experience within the U.S. market.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and the ADP payroll platform.
  • Proven experience with multi-state tax reporting and annual 1099-NEC filings for contractors.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. labor laws, payroll tax regulations, and 401(k) administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all U.S. bookkeeping and financial operations, ensuring strict compliance with Federal and state employment and tax laws.
  • Execute and manage U.S. payroll via the ADP platform, handling diverse schedules including bi-weekly and semi-monthly cycles.
  • Maintain and manage "tax-ready" workbooks for submission to external tax advisors and ensure direct, clear communication with tax authorities.
  • Oversee the administration and coordination of U.S. employee benefits, specifically health insurance and 401(k) pension plans.
  • Manage the annual filing of 1099-NEC reporting for all U.S. independent contractors and personnel.
  • Act as the primary financial liaison for the "CBS" authority, ensuring all reporting meets internal and external standards.
  • Partner closely with the HR Operations Lead and international HR Regional Heads to ensure cohesive practices across global geographies.
  • Proactively track changes in U.S. labor and tax laws to ensure the organization remains fully compliant and up to date.
