As an Accounting Operations Analyst at RSI, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of online casino, sports betting, and poker. In this role, you’ll build a strong foundation in our industry while supporting key accounting processes, assisting with monthly performance analysis, and contributing to ongoing operational improvements. Working closely with Accounting Operations Seniors and the Manager, you’ll help streamline workflows, learn about automation tools, and deliver meaningful support to the team. Your work will play an important role in ensuring accurate month-end activities, processing invoices efficiently, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support RSI’s continued growth. 

What You'll Do:

  • Master our operations: Build a solid understanding of our online gaming ecosystem, including online casino, sports betting, and poker, to support the team’s day-to-day accounting needs. 
  • Support financial accounting execution: Assist with the preparation of monthly accounting for all revenue streams and related operating costs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in each close. 
  • Review contracts & regulations: Help analyze new market access agreements and regulatory changes (in U.S. states and international jurisdictions) to identify potential accounting impacts. 
  • Contribute to process improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities for streamlining workflows and improving efficiency, with exposure to automation tools and best practices. 
  • Work with data for insights: Use tools like Alteryx and Sigma to support data analysis and help with recurring month-end close activities. 
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with Operations, FP&A, Business Development, and Business Intelligence to gather information, investigate trends, and provide relevant financial insights. 
  • Support external partner activities: Assist in maintaining relationships with select external market access partners and land-based casinos related to revenue share and cost-sharing arrangements. 
  • Ensure accuracy & compliance: Support the execution of internal controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of revenue, operating costs, and financial reporting. 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in accounting or finance. Casino industry experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel expertise: Ability to work with large datasets, create formulas, and use key functions to support accurate analysis. 
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP: Solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting standards. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail: A commitment to accuracy and precision in every aspect of your work. 
  • Organizational & communication skills: Ability to effectively prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate across teams. 
  • Passion for automation & analytics: Interest in using tools such as Alteryx, Sigma, or similar platforms for process automation and data visualization. 
  • Familiarity with accounting software: Experience with NetSuite or other accounting systems is a plus. #LI-REMOTE
This role spans a wide breadth of experience at Rush Street Interactive, welcoming candidates with diverse experiences, backgrounds, and locations. The pay range reflects potential variations in experience, skills, and location. The pay range does not reflect total compensation, which includes base pay, benefits, and/or bonuses. For candidates outside the US (Canada, Europe, Latin America), we take a locally informed approach to compensation and will share specific ranges based on your country of residence.

Location Eligibility: Open to candidates across the US (except California, Washington, Maryland, and New York).
