Accounting Manager
We’re looking for a detailed oriented, hands-on Accounting Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial and accounting operations and facilitating the career development of our Accounting team. This role will oversee the month-end close process, accounts payable, expense forecasting and variance analysis, and our annual audit process, among other things.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including accounts payable, expense reimbursements and corporate cards, and vendor renewals
- Leading and executing the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate results in accordance with US GAAP
- Supervising Accounting team, providing timely feedback and assisting with career development
- Reviewing general ledger account reconciliations
- Facilitating monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analyses
- Leading the preparation of our annual expense budgets, working with key department stakeholders
- Reviewing and reporting out budget vs actual analyses for departmental expenses on a monthly basis
- Leading our annual financial audit and liaising with external auditors
- Continuously looking for ways to become more efficient, including identifying and evaluating technology to improve automation
- Owning administration and maintenance of our financial systems
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and private industry
- Minimum of 2 years of people management experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Proven ability to manage a full-cycle month-end close process
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive, curious self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement and process automation
- Experience with administration and/or integrations of financial software/ERP systems

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience working at a mobile-first B2C tech company
- High-growth or subscription business experience
