Join our Accounting Engineering team and help build the backbone of our crypto-native infrastructure. You'll design and scale systems that deliver audit-ready accounting and client reporting across a wide range of blockchain networks. From initial design to production deployment, your work will drive important insights for internal teams and external clients alike.

This is engineering at the edge of digital asset accounting — you’ll blend software development, system design, and blockchain infrastructure to build robust, scalable systems that focus on security and operate across various blockchain networks — each with its own unique architecture, accounting challenges, and operations needs.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Architect accounting systems for blockchains — Design accounting infrastructure for both new and established networks, from whiteboard to deployment.

  • Build the right tools for the job — Develop SDKs, services, and data pipelines using modern languages like Go and Rust. You’ll choose what fits best.

  • Secure and scale mission-critical data — Prioritize integrity, accuracy, and resilience in every layer of our reporting systems.

  • Work cross-chain and cross-functional — Collaborate with protocol specialists, accounting leads, and other engineers to turn complex data into clean, actionable outputs.

  • Operate at scale — Reconcile and report on on-chain digital assets with speed and precision.

Who You Are
  • Experience building and launching software or systems at scale, ideally 4-8+ years.

  • Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

  • Deep familiarity with digital asset data, accounting pipelines, or reporting systems — ideally in crypto or fintech.

  • Fluency in SQL and at least one general-purpose language (Go, Rust, etc).

  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and APIs supporting internal and client teams.

  • Self-motivated, curious, and excited by tough technical challenges.

  • Passion for crypto and an appreciation for the complexity it brings to accounting/auditing.

  • Sincere enthusiasm for technology and a knack for turning curiosity into real-world impact. If you’ve ever run Linux on your personal machine just because — you’ll fit right in.

Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with audit practices, compliance frameworks, or crypto-native reporting.

  • Contributions to open-source tools in crypto, accounting, or data infra.

  • Thrives in a startup environment — fast, flexible, and full of ambiguity.

Tech Stack & Tooling
  • Languages: Go, Rust

  • Database: PostgreSQL

  • Cloud & Infra: Docker, Terraform, GCP

  • OS: Linux, MacOS

Disclaimer: Go and PostgreSQL are core to this role. Experience with the rest is a plus, but not required — we value adaptability over checking every box.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
