What You’ll Be Doing

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to join our finance team. As the Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial and accounting tasks to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. You will play a vital part in supporting the company's financial activities and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform many month-end account reconciliations in NetSuite on time
• Conduct payroll reconciliations using platforms such as Deel, Gusto, and Rippling
• Utilize the Ramp platform to manage, process, and reconcile spend activities, including bill payments and expense tracking 
• Prepare and post journal entries relating to cash transactions and payroll
• Assist with Avalara sales tax filing compliance and reconciliation
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and organized financial records stored electronically according to policy
• Gather, organize, and prepare financial data for PBC (Prepared By Client) lists required for audit and tax preparation purposes.
• Prepare invoices as needed for customer billing on time
• Performing other duties as required by management

What You’ll Need

• B.A. or B.S. or higher in accounting.
• 1+ years related experience, preferably in a software, SaaS, or subscription-based technology company. 
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is required.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite is required.
• Music industry experience is a plus. 
• Familiarity with spend management platforms such as Ramp is a plus.
• Experience with payroll reconciliation, especially using tools like Deel, Gusto, and Rippling, is a plus.
• Proficiency in managing state compliance processes, including tax filings, payments, and interpreting correspondence, is a plus.
• Ability to complete a high volume of work at a consistently high level of quality.

Compensation:

This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles only) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Salary/OTE is just one component of our total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for additional benefits and perks BeatStars has to offer.

The remote US salary range for this role is $51,000-$60,000 USD. For candidates based in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Miami, or NY, the salary range for this role is $57,500-$69,500 USD.
