Summary:
We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our talented accounting team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong foundation in accounting and analysis. Core functions will include monthly close responsibilities, internal and external reporting, internal control compliance, variance and ad hoc analyses and other projects. This position will interact with cross-functional teams within DFIN, and will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. Additionally, the position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a positive team environment. This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities:
• Support the month end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts • Revenue reconciliations for multiple companies • Commission analysis and accruals for multiple sales organizations • Month end financial reporting and ad hoc analysis • Reviewing financial statements for accuracy • Reporting and analyzing variances to budget, forecast and prior year • Interpreting and analyzing data, and preparing summary reports for management review • Assist with quarterly, annual and interim internal and external audit requests • Continuous review of internal control procedures to ensure SOX compliance • Proactively identify opportunities for improvements within the accounting function, recommend solutions and document procedures • Responding quickly and accurately to special reporting and analysis requests
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred Skills:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills • Strong collaboration and team building skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results in a timely and consistent manner • Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting • SAP experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities • Ability to resolve complex accounting problems • Ability to analyze and summarize financial data and prepare financial reports • Ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments • Advanced proficiency in Excel
