About the Company
Our client is a growing retail organization headquartered in Inglewood, known for its dynamic team culture and commitment to operational excellence. They’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join their accounting department and support daily financial operations as the company continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and customer billing
- Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cash management reporting
- Help maintain inventory accounting records and investigate discrepancies
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial data
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (retail or inventory-based business preferred)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
