Role Overview
The Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate AR records, ensuring timely reconciliation and revenue processing. This role contributes to the financial integrity of the organization, supporting month-end and year-end closings, audit preparation, and intercompany coordination. The AR Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller, internal teams, and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account receivable accounting functions, including but not limited to AR reconciliation and revenue processing.
- Maintain accurate AR book-keeping and financial records in NetSuite.
- Prepare general ledger and closing reports by inputting detailed transactional data.
- Assist with balance sheet analysis, tax calculations, sales and use tax tracking, and ensure timely tax payment schedules.
- Conduct regular reconciliations and related AR transactions to maintain accurate account balances.
- Coordinate with other departments to finalize financial transactions and gather necessary closing documentation.
- Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and discrepancy-free entries.
- Support the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end closings and financial analysis.
- Assist in external and internal audit processes by providing required documentation and insights.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Provide ad hoc reports and financial information as needed by the Financial Controller.
- Take on other ad hoc responsibilities as required by business needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Must-have requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of US accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to manage tax-related documentation and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Spanish language proficiency.
