About the Role

Stacker is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee clients and own retention. As a member of the account management team, you’ll report to the Head of Accounts and be directly responsible for the end-to-end client experience including onboarding, performance analysis, and renewal.

You will be assigned to a book of business and expected to carry a renewal goal per quarter which includes opportunities for upselling and overperformance.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, sales-focused Account Manager who is energized by owning performance narratives. Experience in MarTech is welcome but not required; what matters most is your understanding of performance metrics, and working seamlessly with internal teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth business unit on the ground floor and have a meaningful impact on our customers and the company’s long-term success.

About Stacker

As a bootstrapped, fast-growing company, we're resourceful, innovative, and committed to building an inclusive, equitable culture. We are a remote-first team that values ownership, integrity, and collaboration—offering flexible schedules, unlimited vacation, an employee equity program, and full health & dental coverage. We champion long-term impact over short-term gains and believe in empowering our team with autonomy and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee post-sale account management for Stacker clients, including onboarding, campaign execution, asset delivery, and reporting.

  • Own a book of business with renewal and upsell responsibility

  • Track and analyze client and campaign health using martech and analytics tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Search Console).

  • Partner with internal SME stakeholders to interpret performance data and communicate SEO and distribution impact to clients with clarity and confidence.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve performance and help clients exceed their content goals.

  • Work cross-functionally with Research, Editorial, Distribution, and Product to ensure seamless campaign execution.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand client value, increase retention, and grow your book of business.

Requirements
  • 4+ years in account management, client success, digital strategy, content marketing, or SEO (Martech or performance-focused experience strongly preferred)

  • Working knowledge of content SEO fundamentals, content marketing workflows, and/or digital marketing strategies.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to lead day-to-day client communication.

  • Tech-forward mindset with comfort navigating analytics platforms and performance dashboards.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactive, resourceful self-starter with strong prioritization and organization abilities.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality execution.

  • Passionate about digital media, content marketing, or journalism.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
