The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious ­­­­­Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Hilb offices to renew and market stop loss coverage with stop loss carriers and MGU's.
  • Collaborate and strategize with Hilb regional account teams to ensure all data requirements are being requested and received for all stop loss renewals and marketing efforts.  
  • Proactively communicates with internal business partners to ensure timely deliverables to and from the Stop Loss Practice.
  • Become an expert in the Quote-LinQ (Ringmaster) system and supports others within the regional Hilb offices.
  • Monitor workflow and redirects as needed to ensure continued prompt and accurate service. 
  • Manage a stop loss book of business with local and national clients that are comprised of various employer sizes and stop loss products.
  • Act as an expert within the Stop Loss team and consult with other internal. Associates on complex strategies to optimize client satisfaction & retention. 
  • Develop strong knowledge of vendor and competitors’ strengths and weakness.
  • Collect, review and prepare data to request quotes within the stop loss program(s).
  • Execute client renewals by building relationships with key client stakeholders and asking effective probing questions that lead to innovative and cost effective solutions.
  • Start to understand industry trends, carrier product offerings, and emerging trends. 
  • Support the generation of new business by collaborating with Producers and acting as the technical SME and leading the RFP process. 
  • Act as a trusted internal business advisor by developing relationships with Hilb associates through effective communication and quality execution regarding stop loss placement.
  • Develop and produce Request for Proposal (RFP) by coordinating vendor replies, developing an analysis from RFP responses and preparing client report(s) with recommendations.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment when analyzing industry trends and providing feedback to account teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance industry, specifically in employee benefits.
  • Must have some knowledge of health & welfare benefits (both financial and benefits). 
    Strong customer service skills, with the ability to develop strong client relationships with multiple clients 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Ringmaster (Quote-LinQ) system preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills required.
  • Ability to protect confidential client and company information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
  • Must have Life & Health license or ability to obtain within 120-days after hire.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
