3Pillar Global is in search of experienced and dynamic sales-focused leaders who help aggressively protect and grow revenue with our existing clients. 3Pillar Account Managers are a primary interface for building deep relationships with existing clients, evangelizing our offerings and solutions to those clients, and aligning our strategy to the clients business strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the existing revenue base, identifying growth and expansion opportunities, working with our sales team to pursue them, and ultimately closing these opportunities in existing accounts. The primary job is revenue retention, and ensuring that both Clients’ and 3Pillar’s objectives are met in designing and expanding contractual relationships with our clients. You will also support the 3Pillar sales and strategy efforts of key executive relationships with client stakeholders at a variety of businesses. You will assist with go-to-market revenue growth strategies within assigned industries. Our Account Manager role demands a proven sales growth background, strong client relationship skills and thought leadership capability, industry expertise, and the ability to be a strategic advisor to our clients.

A successful Account Manager will be a leader and able to navigate complex business relationships. Within this role you will be working with multiple personality types such as business leaders, engineers, product experts and creative designers. Our most successful Account Managers lead through influence and example with a high level of energy and confidence.

Job Summary

The Account Manager is a critical role responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities within those accounts. This individual will act as a primary point of contact, understanding client needs, ensuring satisfaction with ongoing projects, and strategically positioning our comprehensive suite of services, including custom software development (nearshore/offshore), client consulting, specialized offerings, and staff augmentation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth through client success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to understand evolving client needs, project status, and overall account health.
  • Act as a client advocate within 3Pillar, collaborating with delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with client expectations.
  • Business Development & Growth: Identify and partner with the sales organization to pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling all 3Pillar services and offerings.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges or risks within accounts and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring client retention and continued partnership.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop account plans and strategies for targeted growth.
  • Prepare and present proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and other necessary documentation for existing and new engagements.
  • Strategic Consulting & Solutioning:
  • Understand client business objectives and challenges to proactively suggest relevant custom development solutions, consulting services, or specialized offerings.
  • Work closely with technical teams (solution architects, delivery managers) to articulate and propose technical solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of all 3Pillar services and offerings effectively communicate their benefits to clients.

Project Oversight & Collaboration

  • Maintain a high-level understanding of all active projects within assigned accounts, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing any potential issues.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery managers, technical leads, and other internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate communication between client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and new technologies relevant to custom software development and client consulting.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on client needs and market demands to help refine existing offerings and develop new ones.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on key account metrics, including revenue, project status, client satisfaction, and growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular forecasts and pipeline updates for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client relationship management, or sales within the software development or IT consulting industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and growing client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of custom software development lifecycles (SDLC) and various methodologies.
  • Experience with nearshore and/or offshore delivery models is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various technologies and platforms commonly used in custom software development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse client stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Saleforce

  • Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a mid-size to large enterprise level companies
  • Experience with specific consulting frameworks or methodologies.
  • Understanding of various business domains (e.g., healthcare, finance, logistics)
