About the Role

Our Business Intelligence team is looking for an Account Manager to work customers and prospects across our Risk and Compliance, Factiva, and Newswires solution lines.

You Will:

  • ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT: Provide a high level of account management service, by building excellent customer relationships, understanding our customers' businesses, and resolving issues in a timely manner; understand competitor solutions the customer is using and the customer's current and developing needs
  • NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY: Generate new streams of revenue through sales of products and services which address prospects business needs
  • CUSTOMER GROWTH: Identify opportunities for increasing revenue within the account territory via up-selling and cross-selling
  • CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication with all customers, and build solid working relationships with each customer
  • SUCCESSFUL RENEWALS: Develop and execute on plans to manage strategic account renewals,
  • ROLLOUT AND ADOPTION: Ensure appropriate levels of customer training and awareness are provided by closely partnering with the Customer Engagement team
  • PRODUCT & MARKET KNOWLEDGE: Clearly express the value proposition and benefits of the Dow Jones products and solutions to specific sectors and markets, and use this knowledge to help increase the value and adoption of our solutions by our customers
  • FORECASTING: Manage Sales Forecast and Pipeline to ensure clear reporting of forthcoming renewals, additional sales opportunities, plus the associated revenue and timescales

You Have:

  • A minimum of three years sales experience and a proven track record of success in selling solutions to corporate or financial customers
  • The ability to work well in cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams, as well as being highly self motivated and able work independently when required
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to ensure the Dow Jones value position is clearly articulated to our prospects and customers
  • Strong results orientation, with the commitment and drive to achieve new business goals in a complex business environment
  • Strong level of awareness to help build credibility with the customer, spot potential opportunities within a peer group or industry sector, and express the benefits of Dow Jones in an appropriate business context
  • Strong time management skills, with an ability to manage tasks in a fast paced environment, and track progress against appropriate activity goals
  • Experience working with, or within, Risk & Compliance functions would be an advantage
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level
