Monotype is looking to add a seasoned Account Manager to our growing Americas Sales team!  In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with our current clients, and assisting them in identifying additional use cases for priority adoption of Monotype Services as well as best practice implementations. You will have the opportunity to accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement of our products, creating and articulating compelling value propositions around our unique technologies and services.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for key brand clients

  • Conduct outbound prospecting and maintain key relationships to educate current and potential clients on products and services

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations to drive customer satisfaction and retention

  • Understand clients' business objectives and challenges to effectively position our products/services as solutions

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products/services to existing clients

  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to develop tailored solutions that meet clients' evolving needs and objectives

  • Organize, track and maintain client account and contact information, as well as prospect updates in CRM database

  • Proactively manage contract renewals, ensuring a smooth and timely renewal process, while maximizing revenue potential

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify areas for growth within existing accounts

  • Develop strategic account plans outlining objectives, tactics, and timelines for achieving revenue targets

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to ensure alignment with clients' needs and objectives

  • Gather feedback from clients regarding product performance, customer service, and overall satisfaction.

  • Identify and mitigate churn risks by addressing customer pain points and providing solutions

  • Analyze sales/metrics data from your territory to help evolve your strategy.

  • Maintain retention rate of 90%+

What we’re looking for:

  • Business degree and 4-7 years previous Sales experience required.

  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas & maintaining high retention rates.

  • Previous experience within software, technology, publishing, media, and advertising or design market segments preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.

  • Experience in planning and implementing Account and Territory Management strategies.

  • Excellent contract negotiation skills.

  • Travel required 25%

  • Understanding of CRM technology. Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
