About the Job

Location: Remote, United States. We're hiring Account Managers for our Northeast, Southeast , Central/Mountain, and West territories.

As an Account Manager and “Farmer” at Slide, you'll own relationships with a portfolio of existing MSP partners in your territory. From onboarding through renewal, you'll help partners get the most value from Slide, grow their BCDR business with us, and expand the partnership over time.

You'll be the trusted, go-to contact for your partners: the person they reach out to with a question, an opportunity, or a problem. You'll build strong relationships, understand their businesses deeply, and work closely with teams across Slide to drive retention, expansion, and an excellent partner experience. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of empathy, teamwork, getting stuff done, openness, doing the right thing, and doing their life's work.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of existing MSP partners, serving as their primary point of contact at Slide.

  • Manage onboarding calls with newly signed partners, working with the Sales Representative who closed the deal to ensure a smooth handoff and a fast path to their first deployments.

  • Develop a deep understanding of each partner's business, client base, and growth goals, and build account plans to match.

  • Drive retention and expansion by increasing adoption across each partner's client base, helping them move remaining clients from other BCDR solutions, and identifying new ways to grow the partnership.

  • Conduct regular partner check-ins and business reviews to understand performance, priorities, and opportunities.

  • Manage renewals, hardware upgrades and refreshes, quoting, and commercial conversations within your accounts.

  • Respond promptly to partner requests and inquiries routed to you, and own them through resolution.

  • Spot early signs of account risk and act proactively to protect the relationship.

  • Partner with Sales Engineering, Support, Partner Success, and other internal teams to resolve issues and deliver a strong partner experience.

  • Maintain accurate account information, opportunities, and forecasts in HubSpot, and present your growth pipeline in weekly reviews.

  • Track account performance, retention, expansion, and other key metrics in HubSpot.

  • Represent Slide at partner events, conferences, and industry gatherings.

  • Stay informed on Slide's products, the MSP market, and the broader competitive landscape.

What we're looking for
  • 3+ years in B2B account management, channel account management, or sales, ideally in the MSP or IT channel.

  • A proven track record of retaining and growing a book of business against revenue targets.

  • Understanding of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR), backup, or cybersecurity concepts is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with MSP owners and technical teams.

  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. You can manage a large portfolio of partners without letting anything slip.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred).

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using data to spot risk and opportunity.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Uses AI and modern sales tools to improve account research, partner communication, and productivity.

  • Willingness to travel for partner meetings, events, and conferences.

Benefits
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Paid Time Off: Generous paid time off and holiday schedule.

  • Retirement Plan: 401(k).

  • Professional Development: Opportunities for training and professional growth.

  • The opportunity to do your life's work in a dynamic and creative environment with like-minded individuals.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
