Job Category

We are seeking an autonomous, driven, and data-fluent Account Manager to join our performance marketing team, specializing in the health and Medicare insurance category. In this role, you will own client relationships with health/Medicare carriers, brokers, agencies, and aggregators. You will act as a proactive strategic partner—optimizing revenue, managing media performance, and driving client portfolio growth.

Because this is a fully remote position, we are looking for a natural self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment, takes complete ownership of their accounts, and proactively uncovers new revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management & Strategy: Own end-to-end relationships with a portfolio of health and Medicare insurance clients, serving as their primary strategic advisor.
  • Proactive Revenue Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to scale client accounts, optimize performance, and expand the client profile to drive category revenue.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators—including revenue, Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and media buying metrics—to hit or exceed client targets and KPIs.
  • Performance Marketing Execution: Manage lead generation, calls, and clicks performance campaigns specifically tailored to the insurance sector.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage advanced tools to evaluate campaign performance, build insightful reports, and communicate actionable insights clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal media buying, affiliate, and data/analyst teams to align campaign strategies, streamline execution, and maximize client portfolio performance.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Industry Experience: Direct performance marketing experience within the health and Medicare insurance category (or closely related insurance/financial verticals).
  • Technical & Analytical Proficiency:
    • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation).
    • Strong proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and client reporting.
  • Performance Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of revenue models, ROAS, media buying strategies, and lead/call/click generation.
  • Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: High charisma, top-tier relationship-building capabilities, and proactive communication.
  • Autonomy & Ownership: Proven track record as a self-starter who excels in a remote, independent environment without requiring heavy managerial oversight.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Understanding: Strong working knowledge of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) marketing guidelines and compliance frameworks essential for Medicare and health insurance performance marketing.
  • Organization: Impeccable organizational skills to manage multiple high-stakes client accounts simultaneously.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Skills)
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools and workflows that enhance client management, data processing, or campaign optimization.
  • Prior experience in direct portfolio management with established industry clients.

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 USD to $100,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
