Position Summary

The person in this position is responsible for selling gaming products to licensed casino operators within an assigned territory and improving the quality of customer service.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Maintains a good working knowledge of the product line and its application within the marketplace

  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations to new and existing customers to sell Light & Wonder products and services on location, at trade associate meetings, and from the office

  • Identifies customer requirements via sales contact or through slot floor analysis and demonstrates how specific types of products and services will promote their casino in the most effective way possible

  • Compiles and maintains updated account listings/call sheets of all customers through the use of personal contacts, trade journals, business directories, and other available sources of information

  • Collects credit history information as required, quotes customer based on corporate approved prices and prepares sales contracts and sales order entry documentation in a timely and accurate manner for orders obtained

  • Provides estimated dates of delivery to the customer based on lead times and keeps customer advised of all issues impacting the delivery of his order

  • Provides updated forecast reports on a regular basis to management and identifies major sales opportunities in a timely manner

  • Provides to management updated product forecast reports on a regular basis for approval, major sales opportunities, competitive market trends and/ or any issues that may impede business

  • Prepares sales contracts and sales order entry documentation in a timely and accurate manner for orders obtained

  • Sell to a large, assigned customer base

  • Reports expense account information in a timely and accurate fashion

  • Meets or exceeds sales quotas 

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • More than three years of sales experience, with a minimum of four years of gaming systems-related experience required

  • Preferred experience working with a major gaming manufacturer in a systems or technology environment

  • Strong understanding of gaming technology and systems, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a customer-facing setting

  • Proven ability to develop and grow a territory and customer base

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic, quota-driven sales environment and effectively demonstrate the value of technical products

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create reports, proposals, and presentations

  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders, with a customer-oriented mindset

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in preparing and closing sales contracts

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel as required

  • Ability to work in a casino environment with exposure to noise and cigarette smoke, including heavy phone usage

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight based on territory and customer needs
