At Yondr, we believe in the power of presence. Our mission is to create phone-free spaces that deepen human connection and elevate shared experiences. We partner with artists, educators, and visionaries to design environments that put people, not devices, at the center.

Yondr’s business segments span numerous industries, primarily across education and live events. Yondr supports schools through cell phone-free programs. Our education programs facilitate the successful implementation of phone-free school environments by providing administrators and teachers with education, training, and development resources, along with all necessary equipment. In addition, Yondr supports top artists in music and comedy by creating phone-free shows, allowing performers and audience members to enjoy live performances without the distraction of phones.

SUMMARY

Yondr is seeking an Account Manager to drive new business and manage key client relationships across the Shows vertical. Reporting to the Director of Music & Events, this role sits at the intersection of artist relations and commercial execution — owning outreach and deal development with artist teams, agents, and promoters while ensuring seamless account management for confirmed tours and engagements. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, commercially sharp, and deeply fluent in the live entertainment ecosystem.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across music, comedy, and adjacent live entertainment verticals.

  • Conduct proactive outreach to artist managers, booking agents, and promoters to develop and convert new Yondr shows.

  • Own end-to-end deal management from initial pitch through contract execution, working closely with the Director on pricing, proposals, and negotiation.

  • Maintain and grow a qualified pipeline of prospective artists and tours, with consistent forecasting and reporting to the Director.

  • Support expansion into underdeveloped verticals including EDM, Country, sports, and emerging markets — with Theater and Broadway as active near-term priorities.

  • Collaborate with the Director on agency and promoter relationship strategy, including participation in key industry conferences and events.

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of confirmed Shows clients.

  • Manage client expectations, coordinate logistics, and ensure a high level of service from deal close through show execution.

  • Collaborate closely with the Production team to ensure seamless handoff of confirmed engagements.

  • Identify upsell and extension opportunities within existing accounts, including multi-show and touring deals.

  • Collect and track final ticket counts, billing documentation, and post-show reporting.

Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with artist teams, agencies, promoters, and venues.

  • Represent Yondr at industry events, showcases, and conferences in alignment with the department's visibility strategy.

  • Contribute to the development of vertical sales materials, pitch decks, and artist testimonials in partnership with the Director and Marketing.

Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate deal and client records in Airtable and internal systems.

  • Support pipeline tracking, forecasting, and margin reporting in coordination with the Director and Finance.

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives including pricing strategy, contract overhaul, and new service rollouts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–8 years of experience in artist relations, talent agency, music business, promotions, or live entertainment sales.

  • Established relationships across the live entertainment ecosystem — artist management, booking agencies, promoters, or venues.

  • Proven track record of closing deals and managing long-term client relationships in a commercial context.

  • Strong commercial instincts including comfort with pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.

  • Relationship-driven and non-transactional — able to build trust with artist teams and industry partners.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable representing Yondr externally.

  • Experience with Airtable, CRM platforms, or pipeline management tools.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of autonomy.

  • International experience is a plus, particularly in European touring or EDM markets.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for and fluency in the live entertainment landscape.

BENEFITS
  • 100% paid medical coverage plan option for employees and access to 15+ plan types, including PPO, HMO and HDHP

  • Dental and vision and ancillary benefits such as short-term disability, long-term disability and life insurance

  • Generous PTO for rest and recharge throughout the year

  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave

  • 1 week paid holiday break at the end of December, for a company-wide closure + 11 additional nationally recognized holidays

  • 401(k) offering

  • Tech tool preference, including choice of PC or Mac.

  • Hybrid employees receive catered lunch twice a week.

Compensation Range: $80K - $90K

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
