Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency built to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world. We represent the icons and innovators shaping culture—from global heritage corporations and high-growth tech startups to the non-profits, creative legends, and visionary founders who define the global discourse.

Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems. Whether we are navigating complex crisis management, elevating advocacy campaigns, or launching global consumer brands, we are storytellers at our core.

You may notice our digital presence is purposefully understated. While our clients are global household names, we believe the best work happens with the spotlight stays firmly on those we represent. We fly under the radar by design - preferring to let our campaigns, and our results, speak for themselves.

If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you!

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is looking for a strategic Account Manager to join our Lifestyle team. You have been in the industry for about 6 years and have built a reputation for navigating the beauty, wellness, and pop culture landscapes with ease. You are a media machine who understands the complexity of the 2026 landscape: where a brand’s narrative must seamlessly travel from a long-form feature in the NYT Styles section to a social-first TikTok trend, and from high-conversion affiliate commerce to the center of the influencer ecosystem.

You possess an informed point of view on the cultural shifts driving the industry—from the nuance of Gen Z beauty standards to the digital-first evolution of the DTC and "creator-led" retail landscapes.

The Role:

  • Strategic Account Leadership: Lead a roster of 4–6 lifestyle accounts with total autonomy. You are the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that 360-degree communications strategies are not only executed but are consistently hitting high-level business goals.
  • Media Authority: Leverage an elite network of contacts at the Today Show, NYT Styles, People, and beyond. You have a proven track record of securing top-tier placements and you still love the thrill of landing a "needle-moving" story yourself.
  • Content Command: Produce and edit sophisticated, client-ready materials including messaging frameworks, talent bios, and executive briefing notes. You ensure all content reflects the client’s unique voice and meets the agency’s high standards.
  • High EQ: You possess an elite level of situational awareness. You have the executive presence to command a room and the judgment to provide calm, thoughtful counsel to clients during stressful situations or high-stakes launches.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the backend health of your accounts. You manage the budgets, trackers, and results reporting with total precision, ensuring the account is both efficient and impactful.
  • Mentorship & Team Coaching: Train and mentor junior staff on the inner workings of PR and professional execution. You are a career-builder who takes pride in motivating your team and fostering a "we, not me" culture.
  • Proactive Innovation: Act as a thought-leader for both the agency and your clients. You regularly bring unprompted opportunities to the table—from new business leads to creative out-of-the-box media moments.
  • Relationship Driven: You understand that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, clients, and the media—prioritizing trust and integrity in every interaction.

Who You Are:

  • The Lifestyle Hybrid: 6 years of PR experience with a dedicated focus on consumer brands. While beauty and wellness are your home base, you are eager to touch niche industries and explore the why behind consumer behavior.
  • A Modern Storyteller: You have an innate curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit. You don’t stay in your lane; you are constantly looking for new ways to tell a client’s story through documentaries, B2B thought leadership, or experiential activations.
  • Strategic & Decisive: You bring new ideas to the table unprompted and have the accountability to own your projects from concept to completion. You have the judgment to make the call in fast-moving situations.
  • Exceptionally Organized: You are a master of the details. You can manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously without letting a single task slip through the cracks.
  • Driven to Over-Deliver: You take pride in exceeding expectations and have an innate desire to be part of something good. You are ready to travel and work select evenings/weekends to bring our clients’ biggest moments to life.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
