Position: Account Manager, Group Sales 

Reports to: Sr. Director, Group Sales 

Department: Ticket Sales 

FLSA: Full-Time, Non-Exempt 


Position Summary 

The Account Manager, Group Sales role is an exciting opportunity to accelerate your career in the sports industry with an organization committed to professional growth and development. In this role, you will drive revenue through the sale of group ticket packages and other ticketing products while creating memorable experiences for fans throughout the region. As a key member of the Ticket Sales team, you will build meaningful relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Generate group ticket revenue through outbound sales efforts, including cold calling, prospecting, networking, arena tours, virtual meetings, and in-person appointments. 

  • Develop and execute strategic group sales initiatives, promotions, and theme nights designed to engage targeted communities, organizations, and affinity groups. 

  • Sell a full portfolio of ticket products, including group tickets, season ticket memberships, premium seating, courtside and club memberships, suite rentals, and partial plans. 

  • Utilize sales enablement and CRM tools, including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and OneMob, to identify prospects, manage pipelines, and create meaningful client engagement. 

  • Maintain a consistent focus on prospecting, appointment setting, conducting virtual and in-person presentations, and closing new business opportunities. 

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking events, speaking engagements, seat visits, referrals, and ongoing account management. 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and long-term loyalty. 

  • Accurately track sales activities, pipeline progress, and revenue performance within CRM systems. 

  • Regularly communicate with leadership regarding sales performance, pipeline health, and business development opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with internal departments to support organizational initiatives and enhance the overall fan experience. 

  • Meet or exceed established individual and team revenue goals. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of successful sales experience, preferably within professional sports, ticket sales, hospitality, entertainment, or a high-performance sales environment. 

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals. 

  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. 

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Proficiency with CRM and sales technologies, including Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the event schedule. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience selling ticketing, sponsorship, hospitality, or premium seating products. 

  • Experience using Archtics/TM1, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, or similar sales and CRM platforms. 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business through outbound prospecting and relationship-based sales. 

 

Compensation: 

Total Anticipated First-Year Earnings: $40,000–$75,000+, including base salary, commission, and bonus. 

  • Base Salary: $40,000 

  • Commission: Unlimited earning potential 

  • Bonus: Eligible for a competitive team bonus pool
