The Role

Interdependence is seeking a motivated and strategic Account Manager to join our Consumer Public Relations team. This role is perfect for someone who has mastered the fundamentals of PR and is ready to take ownership of client programs — leading media strategies, running meetings, shaping campaigns, and helping drive standout earned results. You will be a dependable leader for client relationships and a go-to mentor for junior team members.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership
  • Serve as a primary client contact, managing ongoing communication and ensuring exceptional service

  • Lead program planning, execution, and optimization to achieve client goals

  • Proactively identify opportunities for expanded media relevance and message leadership

Media Relations
  • Develop high-level media strategies rooted in consumer trends and brand insights

  • Cultivate strong relationships with lifestyle, consumer, culture, and national media

  • Secure impactful earned media placements across top-tier and emerging platforms

Campaign Strategy & Execution
  • Drive day-to-day execution of product launches, brand activations, seasonal campaigns, and influencer programs

  • Draft and oversee development of high-quality content — messaging, pitches, press materials, talking points

  • Guide integration with social and digital teams to enhance campaign performance

Team & Project Management
  • Supervise and coach junior staff; encourage skill development and accountability

  • Oversee timelines, deliverables, and budgets with exceptional attention to detail

  • Lead client meetings, ensure preparedness, and confidently present recommendations

Measurement & Reporting
  • Analyze earned media and campaign performance, using data to inform strategic improvements

  • Prepare organized, insightful reporting for client stakeholders

Qualifications
  • 4–6 years of experience in public relations, with a focus on consumer brands (agency experience required)

  • Proven success developing media strategies and securing strong earned placements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills; AP Style savvy

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and stay highly organized in fast-paced environments

  • Confident presenter with strong client relationship skills

  • Creative problem-solver and collaborative teammate
