Position Overview

Bend Health is seeking an Account Manager / Business Development - Midwest professional to develop and strengthen partnerships with healthcare organizations, providers, and key stakeholders. In this key role, you will drive engagement, expand partnerships, and increase patient referrals to support Bend Health’s mission.

As a trusted advisor, you will build meaningful, long-term relationships with partners, ensuring engagement, retention, and growth. You will work closely with internal teams to optimize the partner experience and proactively identify opportunities for expansion. This position reports to the SVP of Sales and requires frequent travel (up to 75%) to meet with partners in person.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnership Development

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, health systems, and other key partners.
  • Identify and pursue new referral opportunities to expand Bend Health’s reach and increase access to mental health services.
  • Work closely with leadership to align business development strategies with company growth objectives.
  • Negotiate and secure partnership agreements that drive long-term engagement and patient referrals.

Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring strong, long-term relationships that lead to continued business growth.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for healthcare professionals to increase awareness and understanding of Bend Health’s services.
  • Address partner concerns, manage escalations, and provide proactive solutions to strengthen relationships.
  • Work to expand existing partnerships by identifying opportunities for collaboration and increased service utilization.

Collaboration Across Teams

  • Partner with Clinical, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless partner onboarding and engagement.
  • Provide partner feedback to internal teams to optimize referral processes and improve the partner experience.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop tailored materials that support partner education and engagement.

Market Development & Competitive Intelligence

  • Analyze market trends, industry insights, and partner needs to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry best practices to refine and enhance business development strategies.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes, reimbursement models, and healthcare policies that impact mental health referrals.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track key performance metrics, analyze data, and provide insights to measure partnership success.
  • Prepare reports on engagement, referral trends, and market performance to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve partnership strategies based on data-driven insights.

  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving – Proactively identifies partner challenges, resolves issues, and implements solutions that enhance referral workflows and strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Healthcare & Mental Health Knowledge – Demonstrates a strong understanding of pediatric mental health, referral pathways, and the broader healthcare ecosystem to position Bend Health as a trusted solution for providers and families.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Uses key performance metrics, CRM insights, and partner feedback to assess engagement, optimize strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Works seamlessly with Clinical, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure a smooth partner experience, from onboarding to long-term engagement. Aligns internal resources to support growth initiatives.
  • Adaptability & Resilience – Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare landscape by adjusting strategies based on market trends, partner feedback, and Bend Health’s growth priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in account management, business development, or sales (healthcare experience preferred).
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong partnerships within healthcare settings.
  • Strong ability to engage, educate, and influence healthcare professionals at all levels.
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) to track and manage partner relationships.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset—able to work independently, drive results, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a service-oriented approach.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 75% for in-person partner meetings.
