The Account Director will own the client relationship and revenue goals for assigned digital marketing clients across franchise, mid-size, or enterprise businesses. You will be responsible for working with our clients to deliver long-term, strategic value and customer service. You must possess the ability to prospect, close business, and sell ideas based on clients stated business objectives. You will continually grow/strengthen client relationships and build networking possibilities. 

This role is fully remote within the U.S., and qualified U.S. residences across all 50 states and encouraged to apply.

Essential Responsibilities:

● Focus on building strong, in-person client relationships through regular contact

● Lead performance marketing strategies for assigned accounts
● Forecast partnership potential and set revenue goals

● Maintain ongoing sales pipeline and track sales based on goals set
● Ensure both Ignite and client are working together optimally to foster growth of each other’s
businesses
● Actively consult and provide client with ongoing creative and strategic recommendations to
help support their business
● Serve as the client advocate inside Ignite to ensure that all Ignite teams have the necessary
information to scope and complete a project, on schedule and on budget, which includes
client program goals, product knowledge, best practices and content
● Continuously manage and set both internal (Ignite) and external expectations
● Monitor and track client’s performance objectives for all their existing initiatives to ensure
program goals are being met/exceeded
● Serve as the lead point of contact for all custom account management matters
● Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and
executive sponsors
● Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet
sale quotas
● Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
● Client onboarding, support, adoption, advocacy, retention, renewals, and up-sells
● Foster collaboration within the team and across marketing verticals
● Manage client services outcomes to increase retention rates and reduce churns
● Partner with internal teams to effectively solve client problems and provide strategies
● Expand revenue in accounts through cross-selling and up-sell opportunities
● Influence client’s lifetime value through customer satisfaction, loyalty, and overall NPS
performance
● Drive new business growth through greater advocacy and reference-ability
● Conduct client check-in calls & QBRs
● Manage client listening points through surveys, Executive Sponsor sync calls, exit surveys,
and more
● Coach delivery and production teams through pre-call syncs, on-call feedback, post-call
syncs, and consistent identification of growth opportunities for the entire account team

Required Qualifications
● 7+ years of account management experience in marketing, client services within agency/or digital marketing creative services field

● Experience with franchise client and franchise marketing agency

● Proven track record for directly driving revenue
● Excellent client management, expectation management, negotiation and conflict resolution
skills

● Leadership experience and capability
● Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of
an organization, including executive and C-level
● Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining
sharp attention to detail
● Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
● Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
● Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot)
● You are highly skilled at managing difficult clients and turning frowns upside down
● 5+ years of sales and business development experience
● 5+ years of experience working in digital marketing
● Performance management and paid media strategy experience
● Experience managing multiple agency clients/accounts
● Excellent business acumen and experience working with business executives.
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively
communicate and present ideas and solutions to internal and external customers
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or closely related field
● Keen attention to detail and ability to grasp the big picture
● Proven ability to build rapport with clients
● Proven ability to lead a team/department
● Strong problem-solving skills
● Robust organizational and time management skills, including the ability to effectively
prioritize work and meet deadlines
