Janea Systems (USA) is a dynamic team of the best & brightest software engineering specialists and solutions innovators, from around the world. From kernel to cloud, we provide high-impact software development services to Fortune 500 companies.

Memurai, a product built and maintained by Janea Systems, brings Redis capabilities natively to Windows enterprise environments. As an official Redis partner, Memurai is trusted by a growing number of enterprises running mission-critical workloads and AI on Windows infrastructure. It gives development and operations teams a native, fully supported alternative to running Redis on Linux.
With the release of Memurai for Redis 8, Windows enterprise teams can now build AI-powered applications natively — including vector search, semantic caching, and RAG pipelines — without leaving their existing infrastructure. There has never been a better time to join.

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Account Executive to join our rapidly growing consulting team.
This is a quota-carrying, individual contributor role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, early-stage environment — not just closing deals, but helping shape the playbook. This role is for someone who wants to own their outcomes, build something from the ground up, and grow alongside a product that solves a genuine pain felt by thousands of Windows development teams every day.

Head of Product Marketing

Member of

Memurai Team

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

  • 3–7 Years of B2B SaaS Sales Experience: A proven track record in a quota-carrying role selling technical products to developers, DevOps teams, or IT infrastructure buyers, with a demonstrated ability to close both inbound and self-sourced opportunities.
  • Technical Domain Knowledge: Experience selling data infrastructure products — such as Redis, MongoDB, Percona, Couchbase, or similar database and caching solutions — is a strong plus.
  • CRM Proficiency: Comfortable working with Pipedrive, Zoho, or comparable CRM and sales tools to maintain accurate pipeline data, activity records, and sound hygiene practices.
  • Sales Process Collaboration: A genuine willingness to improve sales processes, not just follow them — including contributing to playbooks, qualification frameworks, and go-to-market documentation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the confidence to lead discovery calls, technical qualification, and deal navigation without a large support team behind you.
  • Startup Experience: Comfortable in early-stage, fast-paced, and evolving environments where adaptability is not optional — it’s essential.

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Partnership Development Experience: A proactive approach to building and nurturing relationships with channel partners, resellers, and technology ecosystem partners — including those within the Microsoft partner network.
  • Customer Lifecycle Management: Experience owning customer renewals, including proactive health checks, outreach, and negotiation to drive retention and reduce churn, as well as identifying expansion and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle for inbound and self-sourced Memurai opportunities, from first contact to close.
  • Qualify, advance, and close a pipeline of SMB and mid-market enterprise leads across developer and IT buyer personas.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to strengthen lead-generation channels, drive outbound campaigns, and share field feedback on messaging and content gaps.
  • Follow up on leads from channel partners, resellers, and technology ecosystem partners.
  • Actively contribute to the design and documentation of Memurai’s sales process, including playbooks, qualification frameworks, and CRM hygiene practices.
  • Represent Memurai in online communities, partner conversations, and customer calls with professionalism and technical credibility.
  • Own the customer renewal process, including proactive outreach, health checks, and negotiation to drive retention and reduce churn.
  • Identify expansion and upsell opportunities within existing customer accounts.

What Success Looks Like:

  • 30 days: You understand the Memurai product, positioning, and existing pipeline. You’re running your own calls and have taken ownership of active deals.
  • 90 days: You’ve closed your first Memurai deals and have a clean, growing pipeline.
  • 6 months: You’re consistently hitting quota and actively collaborating on how Memurai goes to market.

Why join Janea? Because world-class talent deserves world-class opportunities. What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation with benefits, paid vacation, and sick leave.
  • The opportunity to work with a globally diverse team of top Sales & Marketing challenges.
  • Ultra-flexible working conditions – we provide a generous office equipment allowance so you can work from home, we can also provide you with a desk at an office/coworking facility near you or use both. No business travel necessary.
  • An enjoyable, start-up work environment, with excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Flexible working hours – as a remote-first company, our focus has always been on getting the job done well, not when or where it gets done.
  • The opportunity to shape a sales function from the ground up — with real influence over how Memurai goes to market.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
