Position Summary

As an Account Executive at AccelByte, you will be responsible for driving net-new business by identifying, engaging, and closing new customers in the gaming industry. This is a hunter role—ideal for a proactive salesperson who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and exceeding revenue goals. You will partner closely with Sales Development and Marketing to target high-potential accounts, manage the full sales cycle, and expand AccelByte’s footprint across game studios and publishers worldwide.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities

The Account Executive is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and initial outreach through negotiation and close.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within gaming companies (studios, publishers, and service providers).
  • Consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Marketing to optimize lead handoffs and maximize pipeline generation.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering and Customer Success to ensure smooth handoff post-sale and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline, track progress against quota, and report regularly on key metrics.
  • Represent AccelByte at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Continuously refine sales approach through data-driven insights and feedback
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales with a proven track record of hunting and closing new business.
  • Experience selling into gaming, entertainment, or technology industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas in a hunter role.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills; able to clearly articulate value to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
  • Self-starter with high levels of accountability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of industry trends is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 25%+ as needed to engage prospects and attend industry events.
