Description

Are you a confident closer with a passion for selling SaaS solutions? HSI is looking for dynamic, results-driven Account Executives (AEs) to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for turning qualified opportunities into new customer wins—guiding prospects through discovery, product demos, negotiations, and contract execution.

This is a new business sales role focused exclusively on acquiring new logos. You’ll work with prospects to deeply understand their needs, match them to the right HSI solutions, and close subscription-based deals that drive revenue growth. Once a new customer is signed, they transition to our post-sale teams—freeing you to focus on what you do best: closing the next deal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the full sales cycle—from first discovery call to signed agreement
  • Conduct engaging, value-based product demos tailored to prospect needs
  • Drive subscription sales across HSI’s portfolio of safety, compliance, and learning solutions
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline, consistently achieving or exceeding your quota
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and activity tracking within Salesforce
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support the prospect journey
  • Stay informed on product updates, industry trends, and competitive offerings

Competencies:

  • New Business Focus – Excels at winning new customers through effective consultative selling
  • Sales Execution – Skilled in navigating complex deals from first call through contract
  • Communication – Clear, persuasive communicator with strong presentation abilities
  • Results Orientation – Self-motivated, goal-driven, and accountable to metrics
  • Customer Insight – Ability to understand customer pain points and translate them into tailored solutions
  • Strategic Thinking – Balances short-term wins with long-term customer growth potential
Requirements
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, with a strong track record of quota attainment
  • Experience selling subscription-based solutions to business decision-makers
  • Ability to confidently lead product demonstrations and value-driven sales conversations
  • Skilled in discovery, objection handling, proposal delivery, and closing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized with strong time management and pipeline prioritization skills
Benefits

We offer competitive compensation, a supportive culture, and benefits that support your well-being and career development:

  • Comprehensive medical coverage: Health, dental, vision, and more
  • Supportive policies: Parental Leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Volunteer Time
  • Career growth: Robust learning & development program + unlimited access to HSI's LMS
  • Remote flexibility: Work from wherever you perform best
  • Generous time off: Take the breaks you need with our flexible vacation policy
  • Retirement match: 1:1 company match to help you plan for the future

Base Salary: $45,000–$55,000 + Uncapped Commission (Target $45,000+)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
