The Account Executive will focus on closing deals from inbound sources. They will manage the full sales cycle for complex products and services, focusing on high-velocity sales while maintaining a consultative approach.
This role involves handling upsells and expansions within their portfolio to meet revenue goals.
Proper is a San Francisco based tech startup. This position is remote but ideally based in Los Angeles.

- Close deals from inbound leads and SDR-sourced opportunities.
- Maintain a high-velocity sales cycle, closing deals efficiently while managing multiple opportunities
- Handle the majority of the pipeline from inbound marketing and SDR-generated leads.
- Manage upsells and expansions within your existing portfolio to drive additional ARR.
- Apply a consultative selling approach to complex products and services, ensuring customers understand the value proposition clearly.
- Be adept at simplifying technical or complex aspects of the offering for a broad audience.
- Track and report on key metrics such as conversion rates (maintaining a minimum of 30%) and sales cycle velocity.
- Regularly review pipeline health to ensure alignment with monthly targets and provide data-driven insights to refine your approach.
- Work closely with SDRs, marketing, and sales leadership to align your approach with overall company goals. Provide feedback on the quality of leads and top-of-funnel effectiveness.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to ensure proper product positioning and messaging.
Required Hard Skills
- 5-7 years of sales experience, with a proven ability to manage a full sales cycle.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and achieving at least a 30% conversion rate from opportunity to closed deal.
- Strong proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools, leveraging data to drive results and optimize the sales process.
- Ability to quickly learn and articulate complex products and services while maintaining a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
Required Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
- Strong organizational skills, with experience managing multiple opportunities across inbound, and upsell pipelines.
- A growth-oriented mindset, always looking to improve performance and adapt to new strategies.
Experience
- Familiarity with high-growth tech environments or SaaS sales.
- Experience selling in the real estate or accounting services sector.
- Previous experience with upsell and expansion sales within existing accounts.
Salary + Benefits:
- Salary: 80,000 - 90,000USD/year + 100% variable compensation target with no cap on overperformance
