 The Harris Poll is seeking an Account Executive, IC (Insight Communities) to identify and close new business logos to grow our client base.  Delivering market insights through tech-driven, innovative, high-caliber and cost-effective research solutions.


This role would suit someone that enjoys proactively prospecting new leads, selling solutions and engaging and building strong relationships with clients. This is either a remote role or a hybrid role, working from one of our HUB offices in NYC or Chicago, and you need to be available to travel from time to time. 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect and lead effective client research to Identify and create qualified sales opportunities. In addition, you will be expected to close deals with warm leads providing by marketing and cross-selling opportunities
  • Build a strong and continuously growing pipeline by leveraging tools like Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Enter all sales data and progress into Salesforce
  • Quickly ramp up and consistently keep up with the competitive landscape to become an expert in product uses, benefits, competitive advantages to confidently sell our cutting-edge research solutions and technology
  • Partner with the demand generation team to create and execute effective campaigns and to cross-sell within enterprise accounts
  • Successfully perform the full sales cycle including researching, prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing deals in order to meet and exceed quota expectations
  • Deliver engaging sales presentations and write compelling prospecting emails to prospects of all levels of a variety of personas of Fortune 500 companies within a prescribed territory.
  • Engage Clients by developing strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, and hereafter to ensure repeat business and expand relationships with new buyers within existing relationships
  • Provide an excellent first impression of The Harris Poll by recognizing the need for urgency and consistent follow up
  • Participate in sales planning and status meetings

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5-12 years' proven sales experience of driving new business and achieving targets, including researching, prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing large enterprise net new customers
  • Strong prior experience closing large-sized enterprise subscriptions with Fortune 100 companies
  • Consistent prior track record of meeting and exceeding quotas and targets
  • Strong communicator, proven ability to use a range of channels and tools to connect with potential prospects and deliver engaging sales presentations and write compelling prospecting emails
  • Ability to understand which Harris options and solutions will be beneficial to customers, and demonstrate how Harris’ features and benefits match their needs
  • Adept at collaborating with internal partners to progress and close business as well as expand existing relationships (marketing, legal, service delivery)
  • Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans & weekly forecasts for your territory; experience contributing in weekly meetings with meaningful insights
