Position Summary

The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships while identifying new product and business opportunities within assigned accounts. This role develops and executes account strategies, communicates market trends and product innovations, and partners across CCL functions to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and support sustainable, profitable sales growth.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales, growth, and profitability objectives
  • Build strong relationships and effectively penetrate customer organizations at multiple levels
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing business and increase market share
  • Prioritize account opportunities based on growth potential, customer needs, and profitability
  • Develop and communicate compelling value propositions that position CCL as a preferred packaging partner
  • Maintain awareness of customer, industry, market, and end-user trends and communicate relevant insights throughout the organization
  • Introduce customers to new product developments, innovations, capabilities, and solutions
  • Lead the commercialization and implementation of new business awards
  • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Graphics, Technical, Operations, and other internal teams to meet customer requirements
  • Coordinate internal resources and activities necessary to successfully support assigned accounts
  • Maintain effective communication regarding customer needs, pricing, business opportunities, and account activity
  • Manage customer relationships in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business practices
  • Drive sustainable and profitable sales growth while supporting long-term customer retention

Qualifications
  • Experience in sales, national account management, business development, or a related customer-facing role
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow strategic customer relationships
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding
  • Ability to develop and execute account strategies that support sales and profitability goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a remote or field-based environment
Preferred Experience
  • Experience within packaging, labels, printing, consumer products, or a related manufacturing industry
  • Experience managing large, complex, or national customer accounts
  • Experience working within a cross-functional manufacturing organization
  • Knowledge of product commercialization and new-product introduction processes
Scope & Decision-Making

This position manages diverse and complex customer and business activities requiring significant planning, coordination, and cross-functional leadership. The National Account Manager may lead and coordinate the work of employees and functional resources who do not directly report to the position and is expected to manage account priorities and activities over monthly and quarterly business cycles.

Work Environment

Combination of remote/office work, customer interaction, and visits to manufacturing locations as required. Travel may be necessary to support customer relationships, business development activities, and internal collaboration.
