Description

We’re looking for an exceptional Account Executive (Washington D.C) to join our growing global team at Mitiga.

Why Mitiga?

Mitiga is the industry's only complete solution for cloud threat detection, investigation, and response — built by investigators, for investigators. Mitiga supercharges today’s SOC teams with the cloud capabilities that enterprises have been missing, delivering broad visibility across clouds and SaaS, automation that speeds investigations, and rich context that informs cloud threat detection, hunting, and response. Together, Mitiga's capabilities minimize breach impact and enhance enterprises' cyber resilience. As an Innovation Sandbox Finalist at RSA 2024 and a new SYN Ventures portfolio company (Series B, January 2025), Mitiga is an innovator and pioneer in Cloud Security.

We are seeking a proven and highly motivated cybersecurity sales Account Executive to join our team in the US. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving Mitiga's growth by managing and expanding our presence across the US market. As an Account Executive, you will take ownership of strategic sales initiatives and lead the full sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise accounts, with a specific focus on SaaS and cloud security solutions. You will also work closely with Mitiga’s founders and core leadership team, playing a key role in shaping the company’s future growth and strategy.

What You’ll Do: ·

  • Listen to customers and understand their key business and security challenges to best advise on how Mitiga adds value to their security operations
  • Engage with CISO’s and security operations teams to build credibility and thought leadership and mindshare around cloud and SaaS security
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business needs, challenges, and objectives, and delivering tailored solutions based on Mitiga’s platform
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow the pipeline and drive revenue across the US, while consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quotas
  • Engage with Mitiga’s growing partner ecosystem to establish credibility and strong go-to-market partnerships and mutually beneficial sales activities driving pipeline and bookings growth
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective customers
  • Navigate complex sales cycles with a focus on consultative and solution-based selling, positioning Mitiga’s value proposition effectively to address customer pain points
  • Partner with Mitiga team members across Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Executive teams to align and strategy and deliver successful results
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • A seasoned sales professional with 5+ years of experience in the cybersecurity industry and a strong track record of exceeding quota and success selling to CISOs, cybersecurity executives, and heads of security operations.
  • Proven experience working in sales at early-stage startups (Seed to Series A), with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing both mid-market and enterprise sales cycles, with the ability to navigate complex buying processes and engage multiple stakeholders.
  • A hunter mentality with strong prospecting skills and a track record of generating leads in greenfield territories.
  • Able to articulate technical concepts and map them to business outcomes, clearly demonstrating the value of Mitiga’s cloud and SaaS security solutions with a consultative sales approach.
  • Experienced in selling SaaS and cloud security solutions, with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, market trends, and buyer personas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence senior executives.
  • Highly organized and data-driven, with strong pipeline management skills and a clear understanding of sales processes.

Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, start-up environment with an adaptable mindset.

The candidate must reside in one of the following area: Washington D.C only

Nice to Have:

  • A network of established relationships within the US cybersecurity space, particularly with security executives and decision-makers.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
