Locality is transforming how brands and agencies reach audiences across streaming, connected TV, live sports, broadcast, and emerging video environments. We bring together premium inventory, local-market expertise, audience data, programmatic technology, and measurement to help advertisers plan and activate smarter campaigns that drive ROI.

We are looking for an accomplished, entrepreneurial Account Executive to grow our business across Los Angeles and the broader West Coast to join a collaborative team with deep expertise across local media, streaming technology, sales, analytics, marketing, and campaign execution. This is a high-impact opportunity for a consultative seller who understands the evolving video and programmatic landscape, brings strong agency and client relationships, and thrives on creating new business opportunities. You will play a meaningful role in growing Locality’s presence in the market by selling a differentiated portfolio of premium video and advertising solutions by helping brands and agencies navigate an increasingly fragmented video marketplace with one strategic local partner. By joining Locality, you'll help influence how new products, data capabilities, and client solutions are brought to market as the company is focused on innovation, customer outcomes, local expertise, and making complex media buying easier.

  • Build and execute a territory strategy that generates new agency and client-direct revenue across Los Angeles and the broader West Coast territories.

  • Develop a consistent, self-generated pipeline through strategic prospecting, industry relationships, referrals, events, and account-based outreach.

  • Own the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, presentations, RFP responses, solution development, negotiation, and contract execution.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior agency leaders, investment teams, strategy teams, programmatic buyers, media planners, and client marketing decision-makers.

  • Lead consultative conversations that uncover client objectives and translate Locality’s capabilities into compelling, measurable business solutions.

  • Sell across Locality’s portfolio of premium streaming video, CTV, live sports, broadcast, programmatic activation, audience targeting, and measurement solutions.

  • Clearly articulate Locality’s differentiation, including our local-market expertise, direct access to premium inventory, advanced audience capabilities, and cross-platform approach.

  • Identify opportunities to use data and measurement to improve reach, manage frequency, reduce duplication, and demonstrate campaign effectiveness.

  • Develop customized presentations and proposals in partnership with Sales Planning, Marketing, Insights, Analytics, Ad Operations, and Account Management.

  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM tools, with clear next steps, realistic close dates, and visibility into risks and opportunities.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.

  • Bring client, marketplace, and competitive insights back to the organization to help influence product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Represent Locality at agency meetings, client events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities throughout the market.

WHO YOU ARE
  • 5+ years of successful digital media, streaming, CTV, programmatic, advanced TV, or advertising technology sales experience.

  • A demonstrated record of developing new business, building pipeline, and achieving or exceeding revenue goals.

  • Established relationships with Los Angeles and West Coast territory agencies, independent agencies, holding companies, brands, or relevant media decision-makers.

  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including CTV, OTT, programmatic buying, audience data, measurement, DSPs, and evolving video-consumption trends.

  • Experience leading consultative sales conversations and translating technical or data-driven capabilities into clear client value.

  • Confidence engaging senior and executive-level stakeholders at agencies and brands.

  • Strong presentation, storytelling, negotiation, organizational, and closing skills.

  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple client and internal stakeholders.

  • Discipline using CRM tools for pipeline management and forecasting.

  • A self-directed, collaborative, and curious working style, with the ability to adapt quickly as products and the marketplace evolve.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $120,000-$145,000 in addition to a lucrative commission plan that brings total potential earnings up to $200,000 - $250,000. (dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits, retirement benefits and paid days off).

At Locality, we believe our biggest asset is our people. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer, hiring and developing individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to add to our collaborative culture. Locality values and solicits applications from all qualified candidates without regard to actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, sex, gender, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
