Account Executive, New Business DevelopmentStaffing Solutions | Fully RemoteAbout Job.com

Job.com is a strategic staffing partner helping organizations solve complex workforce challenges with speed, discipline, and accountability. We support interim, project-based, and permanent hiring needs across technical, professional, healthcare, and specialized talent markets. Our solutions are designed to improve operational performance, reduce risk, increase workforce flexibility, and help clients scale with confidence.

We are growing, evolving, and building a team of high-performing staffing professionals who want more than a traditional sales role. This is an opportunity to join a company with a broad portfolio of workforce solutions, a national delivery model, and the flexibility to help clients solve business challenges in a more thoughtful, consultative, and strategic way.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive new business development across multiple staffing verticals, including Information Technology, Engineering, Professional Services, and Healthcare. While the title is Account Executive, this is a true new business development role designed for someone who knows how to open doors, build trusted client relationships, uncover workforce challenges, and create long-term revenue opportunities.

This is not a transactional sales position. We are looking for someone who can operate as a strategic partner to clients, understand business priorities, identify growth opportunities, and deliver solutions that align with each organization’s workforce goals. The ideal candidate brings staffing industry experience, strong business acumen, and the confidence to sell across a sophisticated portfolio of services, including contract staffing, contract-to-hire, direct hire, payrolling, Employer of Record solutions, and executive retained search.

This role is fully remote and offers significant autonomy. You will have the opportunity to truly own your desk, your market strategy, your client relationships, and your success.

What You Will Do

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing new client relationships and expanding Job.com’s presence within target markets. You will identify organizations with workforce needs, engage decision-makers, lead consultative discovery conversations, and position Job.com as a trusted staffing and workforce solutions partner.

You will sell across a broad range of talent solutions, including contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, payrolling, EOR, and executive search. This requires someone who can think beyond a single requisition and engage clients in conversations about workforce planning, hiring challenges, compliance, speed to productivity, cost control, supplier performance, and scalable talent strategies.

You will build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, develop relationships with hiring leaders, HR executives, procurement teams, talent acquisition leaders, and business stakeholders, and partner closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure client commitments are executed with quality and consistency.

You will be expected to bring market insight, professionalism, urgency, and accountability to every stage of the sales process. Success in this role will be measured by new client acquisition, revenue growth, gross profit, quality of client relationships, and the ability to create repeatable, long-term business opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proven staffing industry sales professional who has successfully developed new business and built lasting client relationships. The right person is consultative, credible, resilient, and energized by the opportunity to build something meaningful.

You should be comfortable selling to executive and senior-level stakeholders, asking thoughtful questions, uncovering business pain points, and shaping solutions that go beyond filling open roles. You understand that the best staffing partnerships are built on trust, execution, transparency, and measurable results.

The ideal candidate has experience selling staffing services in one or more of the following areas: Information Technology, Engineering, Professional Services, Healthcare, or related verticals. Experience selling Employer of Record, payrolling, managed workforce, or other sophisticated workforce solutions is highly valuable.

You should be self-directed, highly organized, and motivated by both autonomy and accountability. This role is ideal for someone who wants the freedom to build their book of business while being part of a company that is investing in growth, delivery excellence, and long-term client partnerships.

Key Qualifications

Successful candidates will bring:

  • Proven experience in staffing industry sales, new business development, account growth, or workforce solutions sales
  • Experience selling contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, payrolling, EOR, or executive search solutions
  • Strong understanding of client workforce challenges, hiring processes, talent markets, and staffing delivery models
  • Ability to develop relationships with HR, talent acquisition, procurement, operations, and executive decision-makers
  • A consultative sales approach with the ability to uncover business needs and position tailored solutions
  • Strong pipeline management, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a polished, credible, and professional presence
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying highly accountable to results
  • A growth mindset, strong work ethic, and desire to help shape the future of a rapidly evolving organization
Why Join Job.com

At Job.com, you will have the ability to sell a comprehensive suite of staffing and workforce solutions instead of being limited to one narrow service line. You will have the autonomy to build meaningful client relationships, the flexibility to pursue the right opportunities, and the chance to contribute to a company that is growing with intention.

This is a role for someone who wants to be trusted, empowered, and rewarded for performance. We value people who bring ideas, ownership, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping clients succeed.

We offer a competitive base salary and an uncapped commission structure, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees personally and professionally. Team members enjoy a fully remote work environment, nine company-paid holidays plus their birthday off, unlimited flexible time off, a 401(k) with a 4% company match, and comprehensive medical coverage through Aetna, along with dental and vision benefits.

Our Aetna medical coverage includes nationwide provider access, preventive care coverage, prescription benefits, telehealth services, and additional healthcare resources that support both employees and their families.

The Opportunity

This is a meaningful opportunity for a staffing industry top performer who wants to build, grow, and make an impact. If you are energized by developing new business, solving client challenges, creating trusted partnerships, and selling workforce solutions that deliver measurable value, we would welcome the opportunity to connect.

At Job.com, we are not simply filling jobs. We are helping organizations build workforce strategies that improve performance, reduce friction, and support sustainable growth.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
