At Kognitiv Inc., we’re redefining what it means to be a Workday partner. We’re not just building better Workday solutions—we’re building a company where talented people thrive.

Ready to do your best work? Join us.

Location: Remote (Global / No Assigned Territory)

Do You Possess the Drive and Autonomy to Seize a High-Growth Market?

This is not a traditional sales role. This is a high-autonomy, high-incentive position for a results-driven professional who thrives on challenge and treats their territory—which, in this case, is the entire market—as a high-growth business venture.

We are seeking a self-confident, competitive, and decisive Account Executive to pioneer our "Net New" logo acquisition strategy. As the first AE in this category, you will have no geographic fences. You will have the freedom to hunt where the opportunity is greatest, backed by a world-class delivery team. If you are motivated by independence, speed, and uncapped earning potential, this is your opportunity to step into a leading role and define our market presence.

The Mission: Relentless New Business Acquisition

As our first Net New AE, you will be singularly responsible for revenue growth. You aren't just managing a pipeline; you are building the engine. Your success is defined by your ability to prospect, strategize, negotiate, and close high-value Workday implementation deals with urgency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Full Cycle Ownership: Manage the complete sales cycle—from aggressive, self-sourced prospecting and lead qualification to complex contract negotiation and closing.

  • Decisive Execution: Thrive in a dynamic environment, acting quickly to remove deal obstacles and pivot strategies to win.

  • Strategic Relationship Architecture: Build and leverage networks with key senior-level decision-makers (VP and C-Suite) and local Workday ecosystem partners to generate high-value lead referrals.

  • Entrepreneurial Autonomy: Operate as a self-starter. You will take full ownership of your results and drive accountability for your own success in a remote, independent environment.

  • High-Volume Activity: Maintain a rigorous outbound pace—social selling, strategic engagement, and deep discovery—to ensure a healthy, predictable pipeline.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for a "hunter" profile with a deep understanding of the enterprise cloud landscape.

  • Ecosystem Expertise: A proven track record of driving new logo acquisition within the Workday, HR, Finance, or ERP cloud ecosystem.

  • Services Sales Mastery: Demonstrable success in structuring and selling high-value Professional Services alongside software solutions.

  • Complex Deal Navigation: Ability to manage extended sales cycles (6–12 months) and influence multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Communication: Exceptional persuasive skills with the ability to influence C-level executives. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a significant advantage given the global remit.

  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel (20%) for critical customer meetings and industry events.

The Incentive: Why Join Us?

We empower our AEs with the authority and rewards required to succeed:

  • Total Market Access: Unlike traditional roles, you will not have a designated region to start. You have the green light to sell into all markets, maximizing your reach.

  • Uncapped Earning Potential: A competitive salary with a heavy, uncapped commission structure directly tied to your performance.

  • Pioneer Status: As the first AE focused on Net New, you are a partner in our growth, not just an employee. You will help shape the sales playbook for everyone who follows.

  • High Autonomy: You have the freedom to execute your strategy without micromanagement.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
