About the Job

Some of the largest employers in the country are deciding right now how their workforce gets paid, and the Enterprise Account Executive is how Tapcheck wins those decisions. You will hunt and close new logos with 5,000+ employees, owning every deal from first outreach through signature. You will sell to HR, Payroll, and Finance leaders at the same table, guide them through payroll integrations and compliance questions, and land partnerships built to go live and get used.

This seat is built for a true hunter. You build your own pipeline, run disciplined multi-stakeholder deals, and close without waiting for the next inbound lead. Reporting to our CEO and Co-Founder, Ron Gaver, you will help shape how Tapcheck sells up-market as we scale.

What You'll Do

New Logo Acquisition

  • Own a net new logo quota for enterprise logos with 5,000+ employees, with full accountability from prospecting through close

  • Build your own pipeline through strategic outbound, account-based prospecting, events, and your professional network

  • Build territory and account plans that target high-fit employers, especially large hourly and frontline workforces

  • Partner with BDRs and Marketing on campaigns into your named accounts to amplify, not replace, your own prospecting

Complex Deal Execution

  • Run long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, IT, Legal, and Procurement

  • Apply a structured qualification method to forecast with confidence and close with discipline

  • Lead discovery, tailored demos, security and compliance reviews, RFPs, and contract negotiations

  • Build business cases that connect earned wage access to retention, recruiting, productivity, and employee financial wellness

Executive Relationships

  • Earn credibility with CHROs, CFOs, VPs of Total Rewards, and Payroll leaders as a trusted advisor, not a vendor

  • Navigate payroll, HCM, and time and attendance integration questions alongside Solutions and Onboarding

  • Speak clearly to the EWA regulatory landscape and how Tapcheck protects employers and their employees

Pipeline and Forecast Discipline

  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast data in Salesforce

  • Deliver reliable weekly and quarterly forecasts to sales leadership

  • Hand off closed deals cleanly to Onboarding and Customer Success, setting each new partner up for strong adoption

Market Feedback

  • Bring competitive intelligence and buyer feedback back to Product, Marketing, and leadership

  • Help refine and sharpen our enterprise playbook, messaging, and pricing as we scale up-market

What You've Done

Required

  • Spent 6+ years in B2B SaaS sales, including 3+ years closing new business with enterprise employers

  • Carried and consistently exceeded a new-logo quota as a full-cycle hunter

  • Built a large share of your own pipeline through outbound and account-based prospecting

  • Closed complex deals with 6 to 12 month cycles and multiple executive stakeholders, including Finance and Procurement

  • Sold into HR, Payroll, or Finance buyers with a business-case and ROI-driven approach

  • Used a structured sales methodology such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, or Sandler to qualify and forecast

  • Kept a clean pipeline and forecast in Salesforce

Preferred

  • Sold earned wage access, payroll, HCM, benefits, or other HR tech or fintech solutions

  • Built relationships with CHROs, CFOs, and payroll leaders at large employers

  • Sold to employers with large hourly or frontline workforces, such as retail, healthcare, hospitality, staffing, or logistics

  • Worked through enterprise security reviews, RFPs, and regulated-industry compliance questions

  • Thrived in a high-growth, scaling sales organization

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
