Role Overview
DroneDeploy is the leading reality capture platform, powering visual data for smarter decisions in construction, energy, and beyond. We help the world’s most innovative companies digitize their operations, connect their teams, and accelerate outcomes through automation and AI.

As an Account Executive – High Velocity, you’ll join a fast-paced, results-driven sales team focused on the SMB segment (under 100 employees). In this role, you’ll be entrusted with the full sales cycle—prospecting, qualifying, demonstrating, and closing business—while also nurturing and expanding relationships with existing customers. You’ll be the primary point of contact for your accounts, responsible for delivering value at every stage and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

This position is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated seller who thrives in a high-energy environment and is passionate about helping customers achieve real business outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by driving revenue, building lasting partnerships, and shaping how smaller organizations adopt DroneDeploy’s platform.

Work Environment:

  • Remote role based in the U.S.; work from home.
  • Operate during standard business hours in your local time zone, with flexibility to manage your schedule to meet customer and team needs.
  • Occasional domestic travel (about ~10% of business travel) for conferences, company events, or customer visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Full Sales Cycle: Manage every stage of the customer journey, from initial discovery and product demonstration to negotiation and close, ensuring a high-quality experience throughout.
  • Prospect and Qualify: Proactively identify and engage new opportunities through strategic outreach, research, and effective qualification of inbound leads.
  • Customer Success Mindset: Serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers realize the full value of DroneDeploy’s solutions and setting them up for long-term success.
  • Account Growth: Oversee a portfolio of SMB accounts, identifying and executing on opportunities for expansion and upsell.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Sales Leadership to align strategies, share insights, and continuously improve sales effectiveness.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline data within Salesforce, consistently working to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process optimization by sharing best practices and supporting a culture of learning and high performance.
  • Operate with Initiative: Take ownership of your territory and results, managing competing priorities and adapting quickly to changing customer and business needs.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, ideally in a high-velocity or SMB environment.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding quota in a fast-paced, metrics-driven sales setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach and Gong (or similar sales engagement tools); comfortable leveraging data and analytics to optimize your pipeline.
  • Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.)
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, adaptable mindset, and passion for technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Holding an active Drone Certification (Part 107) is encouraged.
  • Located within 45 minutes of a major airport for business travel.
