As an Enterprise Account Executive for entertainment, you will drive sales across film, television, and VFX by managing client relationships, conducting workshops, and drafting proposals.
The summary above was generated by AI

At Luma, we’re building multimodal AI to expand human imagination and capabilities. We believe the next leap in AI won’t come from language alone, but from models that can see, understand, create, and interact with the world visually.

Dream Machine is just the beginning. We’re creating an intelligent creative partner that helps people express what’s in their mind’s eye without needing the perfect words. Think: generative AI that’s not just helpful, but beautifully intuitive and deeply visual.

The Role

We are hiring our first Enterprise Account Executive for entertainment. You will spot decision-makers across film, television, production, and VFX, spin up proofs of concept, close new business, and nurture relationships that unlock our biggest opportunities. Your deep industry knowledge and network will place Luma AI’s creative tech inside the workflows of studios, streamers, and production houses.

What a Typical Week Might Look Like
  • Target and Tease: Build lists of studio execs, streaming platform innovators, and VFX supervisors in Clay or Apollo, craft irresistible outreach, and land discovery calls.

  • Storyboard the Win: Run workshops to map each client’s production pipeline, then design proofs of concept that slot Luma into pre-vis, on-set, or post.

  • Deal Making: Draft proposals, handle objections, and negotiate complex MSAs that turn pilots into multi-year partnerships.

  • Signal to Product: Feed market intel to engineers so new features hit real production pain points.

  • Premiere and Expand: Work with Customer Success to ensure smooth launches, uncover upsell triggers, and celebrate ARR growth.

  • Share the Spotlight: Post competitive insights and success stories so the go-to-market team levels up together.

Your Background Looks Something Like

The Essentials

  • Four or more years closing SaaS deals in film, television, production, or VFX

  • Consistent record of beating quota and managing complex studio or streamer sales cycles

  • Fluent in production lingo: pre-vis, on-set VFX, editorial, and pipeline tools

  • Confident running outbound, discovery, demo, and renewal motions in HubSpot or a similar CRM

What Would Make You Exceptional

  • You led a startup into a new vertical and made it the fastest-growing revenue stream

  • Rolodex of producers, VFX supervisors, and studio tech leads who answer your calls

  • Early-stage experience where you built the sales playbook while hitting the number

You Might Really Thrive Here If…
  • Zero-to-one is your comfort zone and you enjoy building process from scratch

  • You can translate “neural rendering” into “faster post schedule” without losing the room

  • Movie magic still gives you goosebumps and you share behind-the-scenes trivia for fun

  • “Iterate, ship, learn” sounds better than “submit, review, wait”

  • You believe better tools unlock better stories and you want to prove it

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
